So Astro I don't know if I've asked this before, but since I've got a thread started to recruit for my own game. What do you use to make your maps.
I use OpenOffice Draw. Once you learn how to manipulate the essence of OOD mapping, it is easy. Couple things, though. You'll need to create your own grid (you may have to experiment to get exactly what you want). You can create your own terrain (very simple if in a dungeon setting [except for caves]), or find stuff on the web to copy and paste (with resizing). When we get back to the trap room, you'll see what I mean about copy and paste. The token shading is using gradients. I had to invent my own gradients to match the coloration of the tokens being used. Bloodied being red to token color. Dead being black to token color. Unconscious being token color to black. The zones and auras I set the color to be 50% transparent with the edge lines being invisible. The auras I group with the token so when I move one, the other moves with it. Downside of grouping is when the creature is bloodied, you have to ungroup it first before applying the gradient, then re-group it. I use 80% gray for walls, 10% gray for floors, other shades of gray for various pieces of architecture, such as columns ro statues. Once I'm done, I export it to a jpg file, then upload it to my profile. If you really want to get fancy, you can use photoshop on the jpg for even more effects (too much work for me, so I don't).

You can use either Athletics or Acrobatics to escape a grab as part of a move action. Usually it is Athletics against the creature's Fortitude or Acrobatics against the creature's Reflex unless otherwise stated. The Engulf power states that you need to beat a DC 15 using Athletics or Acrobatics for the escape instead of going against the cube's Fortitude or Reflex. You only have one chance to escape because you're dazed. But, once you're out, you have the rest of your actions (minor & standard). Also, escaping from the cube's grab allows you to place yourself in any legal square that is adjacent to the cube.
