With a few quick steps Azigen places himself across from the cube like creature.  With the infor his friend passed along Azigen realizes that getting close is bad.  So trying to jump start the fight he goes all out.  At first he opens with a blow to protect those around him.  The blow is close and he grazes the creature.

With a quick prayer, Stonelord help us, he uses some of his reserve energy to make another swing.  This time using his trusted trick of allowing the earth to erupt into his enemies.  The total damage was little, but seeing as Fair was near he knew that it was only a matter of time before this strange creature was dead.

Standard - Granite Shield - 1d20(11) +7 = 18 vs G Fort Hit for 9 dmg and pushes the creature 3 squares if possible - Effect: Azigen gains an aura 2 that lasts UtEoMNT. You and your allies gain resist 5 to all damage while in the aura.
Action Point - Earthen Hail - 1d20(14) +7 = 21 vs G Fort Hit for 9 dmg plus 3 - Effect: You and each ally within 3 sq. gain a +2 power bonus to AC and Fort UtEoMNT.

The cube slowly moves out of its resting spot and pulls its prey within itself to digest.

G Mechanics Show
Move:  shift M9 to M8
Standard:  Engulf vs Fairbanks & Azigen:  Attack (FB, AZ) vs Reflex: (1d20+8=27, 1d20+8=28)  Both hit.  Moves Fairbanks to M9 and Azigen to M8   OOC:  I just had to roll a nat 20 on a non-damaging attack.  Poo.
Engulf Show
The cube grabs the target (escape DC 15) and pulls the target into its space. Until the grab ends, the target takes ongoing 10 acid damage and is dazed. When the cube moves, it pulls with it any creature grabbed by it, and the creature remains grabbed and within the cube's space. This movement does not provoke an opportunity attack from the grabbed creature.


In the meantime, the two undead spread out and fling bits of their flesh at Big John.  BJ feels the necrotic energy leech out his life force as the fleshy globs hit.

C1, C2 Mechanics Show
Move:  to D18 & G18 respectively
Standard:  Mote of Corruption vs BJ:  Attack vs Reflex, necrotic damage: (1d20+7=22, 2d6+3=13, 1d20+7=14, 2d6+3=9)  Both hit for 13 & 9 damage respectively and BJ is weakened (save ends)

Muttering about his dislike for jelly and blindslight, Skadu moves to help fight the cube.
In an effort to give people the chance to get away, he tries to have the shadows grab at it

13 vs reflex 
11 damage and immobilized (save ends) if it hits, 5 damage and slowed if it missed (save ends) 


 action point!

Shadow Claws
10(1d20) +7 +1 = 18; 6(1d10) +6 = 12
 
Ignore that +1... should be 17 vs fort  for 12 cold damage if it hit 


Effect If the target moves during its next turn, it takes 6 cold damage

Azigen's turn.  He takes 10 acid damge but Granite Shield resists 5, so he takes 5 damage.
