Gerik's life began in the small farming community not far from the Blue Rose, called Quelynth. The town, due to it being on the edge of a forest and far from major roads had successfully stayed small and close-knit in its members. Quelynth consisted of mostly smalltown folk who farmed for their living, and the general atmosphere was laid back and focused on groupwork and sustaining the town as a whole. The grasslands and the floodplains from the River Kjed that flowed through the area gave way for very irrigatable land with much potential.
Gerik was born to a seamstress and a hunter. Taking up his father's profession with an intent to keep food on the table and a bit of gold in his pocket. His father trained him well, and after a few years of practicing with the bow, he was able to make a clean shot from a long distance. The thing that he had that his father didn't, however, was the frame. Gerik's wiry frame allowed him to be stealthy and fast on his feet. Within time, he was a master of the forest and he could find or evade practically and animal he wished to.
Upon hunting in a rather far spot than usual, one day, Gerik came across a house that had screams eminating from its walls. He knew that alone, it was probably a bad idea to investigate the house, but his curiosity got the best of him. Captured by the mad wizard, the experiments done on him had some strange effects. He seemed to have some "extra" prowess in battle that he has yet to fully understand. The experiments he underwent gave him animal-like tendacies, and he can harness primal energy to some degree.

Gerik provides a nice bit of damage and crowd-control with his abilities. As a human, Gerik can grab Twin Strike for his second at-will and up his sustained per-round damage in case the battlefield is a simple tank-and-spank and damage is needed. Appearance

Gerik has thick leather armor that covers his body, and a dark brown cloak with a hood that is sometimes pulled up. He is tall and wiry, giving him agility, but still has the strength to use his massive bow.
Gerik's facial features are angular and he has dark green eyes. His skin is tanned from his time spent outdoors hunting. He keeps clean shaven. He has dark black hair that comes down to his upper chest, unless he ties it back in a knot or hides it in his hood. Pesonality

Gerik is easy-going and keeps quiet until spoken to. He is insightful and tends to let others do the talking. His silence may be mistaken as brooding, but the hunter is a man of few words and prefers the comfort of not speaking.
The hunter is wary of new acquantainces at first, but given that they prove themselves to him, he tends to make very close friends.
