Lorenz fires a bolt at the visible Soldier but the warrior gets its shield up in time.  He could still see the creature's arm quiver with the impact, and his knees wobble with fatigue.  Wanting to see what happened to Gyrdian, the young elf scampers across the room, ducking back into the hallway they came from.  He takes a quick peek around the corner before moving further up the hallway, not wanting to give the archer anything to shoot at.

Mechanics Show

Standard: Disruptive Shot vs S1: miss; half-damage = 5 and target is slowed
1(1d20) +12 = 13; 4(1d10) +6 = 10

Move: Walk to F,11

End of turn free action (Aspect): Shift to F,12

Rapid Shots Show

Aspect of the Pouncing Lynx Show

Effect: You assume the Aspect of the Pouncing Lynx stance.  Until the stance ends, you gain the following benefits:
- +4 power bonus to initiative checks
- During your first turn in an encounter, you gain a +2 power bonus to attack rolls.
- You gain a +2 power bonus to all defenses against opportunity attacks that you provoke by moving.

Aspect of the Dancing Serpent Show

Attack: +12 vs AC
Hit: 1d10+6 damage and you choose for the target to be either dazed or immobilized (save ends either).
Miss: Half damage and the target is slowed until the end of your next turn.

[ ]Stalker's Mist Show

Minor Action Area Burst 1 within 10 squares
Effect: The burst creates a zone that lasts until the end of the encounter.  Squares in the zone are heavily obscured to your enemy.
  Move Action: You move the zone up to 5 squares.
  Heavily Obscurred square: Grants partial concealment from enemies in adjacent squares.  Grants total concealment from enemies in non-adjacent squares.

Looking at the situation, Eliza decides to summon an ally to help shield Gyrdian. I am in need of your assistance my friend. A Flame Zephyr appears next to him then I focus extra energy into my spell. A layer of ice forms over me and I create a cloud of intense cold behind the Warcaster hitting him but missing the soldier next to him.

Actions Show

Minor Action: Flame Zephyr aura 1 partial concealment to allies in aura and +2 for me to attack enemies in aura
Free Action: Elemental Escalation +2 to all my defenses and +1d10 to all damage dealt
Standard Action: Ice Prison centered on N9 Cha vs FD,S2,W
5(1d20) +5 +2 = 12; 17(1d20) +5 +2 = 24
5(1d8) +7 +3(1d10) = 15 cold damage and slowed
Minor Action: Zephyr shifts to M10

I've added the stats of the Flame Zephyr to the bottom of the encounter post.


The soldier in front of Nadarr doesn't seem to know when to give up and attacks him.

S1 Mechanics Show
Standard:  Flail vs Nadarr:  Attack vs AC, damage (-penalty): (1d20+7=14, 1d10+6-4=6)  Miss for no damage.


The soldier next to the warcaster just simply bides his time.

S2 Mechanics Show
Free:  Delay.


The warcaster orders the archer in goblin to shoot the flame creature.

Closing his eyes briefly Dredge prays, "My queen, allow me to continue to serve you in this world."  Upon completion of his prayer his wounds begin to stich together.

Dredge then moves towards the Soldier, presents his holy symbol and says, "Now you meet my queen!"  When the dark energy flows into the creature this time, the creature stiffens and falls over dead.

Mechnics Show
Minor Action: Healing Word on Dredge
  Effect: Dredge spends a surge and gains an additional 2 hp (Bonus hp (1d6=2))
  Effect: Dredge gains 5 temp hp

Move action:
Move to H,09

Standard Action: Teneberous Blessing vs S1
  Attack: Teneberous Blessving vs S1 (Will attack) (1d20+6=24) HIT!
  Damage: Teneberous Blessving Damage (1d8+4=12)

The warcaster only spare a glance at the fallen soldier being busy with his own problems.  He then smiles when his spell recharges.  Next the warcaster waves his staff again and a different spell is sent forth, blastting all he can see up to 25 feet away.  The spell goes awry only dealing half the damage it could have.

W Mechanics Show
Start of Turn:  1d6=6
Standard:  Force Pulse (close blast 5) vs Gyrdian, Dredge, and Nadarr:  Attack vs Reflex, force damage: (1d20+7=8, 1d20+7=10, 1d20+7=12, 2d8+6=16)  All miss for 8 damage (16/2=8).
Move:  Shift to N9


The warcaster steps back one step to allow the soldier to get a chance to fight.  He instructs the soldier to do something in goblin (Gyrdian translates take care of that flame creature), gesturing at the zephyr.  However, the smoke from the zephyr's aura gets into his eyes and he hits the corner of the wall behind him.

S2 Mechanics Show
Move: to M9
Standard:  Flail vs Flame Zephyr:  Attack vs AC, damage: (1d20+7=12, 1d10+6=9)  Miss for no damage


The northern doors burst open and a group of grunts tumble out and head for Eliza.  But in their hurry they ended up bumping into each other forcing each of them to miss.

G1, G2, G3 Mechanics Show
Minor:  G1 opens door
Move:  to C9, D9, E9 respectively avoid any OAs from Dredge
Standard:  Longsword vs Eliza:  Attack vs AC: (1d20+6=7, 1d20+6=9, 1d20+6=14)  All miss for no damage


A second set of grunts charge toward Dredge.  One of them manages to connect.

G4, G5 Mechanics Show
Standard:  Charge to G8 & H8 (respectively) using longsword vs Dredge:  Attack (+charge) vs AC: (1d20+6+1=24, 1d20+6+1=14)  G4 hits for 5 damage, G5 misses for no damage

Nadarrs roar fills the room and every grunts attention shifts towards him.

Lorenz, see if you can free Eliza!

Feeling his nearer allies a bit safer like this, he moves towards Gyrdian to help him out. He attacks the Soldier, sword glowing, but missing any vital areas. Still the creature is hurt by the intense light.

Nadarr will use Righteous shield if gyrdian should be hit next round.

Gyrdian's wounds begin to close and he looks up at the soldier. You're in my way. And without another word, he tears into the hobgoblin, He's actually a little thankful that Lorenz is out of sight as the display is rather brutal and leaves his enemies a little shaken. You should move now, he mutters to the soldier. But, it seems the shock of blood and the ferocity of the attack has only infuriated the creature that much more. The attack seems to have bolstered Gyrdian's confidence some though, and he stands a little straighter.
