Whisper sent me an invite so I guess I'll make a rogue for the group based on one I made a little while ago for another party that didn't quite get in. Not the best I've done, but if there's any comments I'll listen. Character Sheet

Background
Show
Rorin was born in in a small farming community to two poor parents. A boring start to a semi exciting life that he would soon have. Such as stealing from bandits, nobles, corrupt officials, he enjoyed the thrill of it. But that's getting ahead of... Well... Everything.
Poor though his family was, they did understand one thing. The desert was the best place to sell to, not in mind but to. With very little fertile ground in that area, selling to nomads and expeditions in the area brought in enough money to keep the family going despite the trip. And it was also where Rorin picked up most of his skills.
The nomads he learned from were masters at concealing weaponry, learning how to enchant their blades so that they could be hidden from sight with little to no effort at all. A single word was all that needed to be spoken for the owner to summon his daggers and sword back into sight. Until then, they were undetectable. This was also how Rorin came to learn how to duel with daggers.
The expeditions that they traded with gave gold, but also gave lessons to the young boy, who's charm earned their friendship quickly. In the rough sands, where anywhere a threat may emerge, weapons such as hand crossbows that were easy to wield and didn't weigh the user down were favored. But, Roring was exceptional in both, and quickly learned on his own how to fight with both in hand, parrying and dodging with the dagger before firing close with the hand crossbow. he felt like he could take on the world, which he did in a way.
Rorins first heist was a group of bandits that had decided to steal what his family had made on their short trip to the desert. Rorin, however, well adapted to blending in and rough terrain thanks to his time in the desert, quickly climbed one of the nearby trees and vanished into the thick foliage of the forrest that crossed the road his family took on their way home. As the bandits searched through his families belongings, he silently took them out one by one, well aimed bolts from his bow piercing hearts, lungs and necks. Until the final bandit remained. rorin was fast in the kill, but unfortunately not fast enough. And so, aged 16, Rorin lost the people that he cared for most.
A year passed, and although Rorin was not yet of age for the bars, he did spend his years watching the forrest road whenever he could. Bandit attacks grew more and more frequent as the years passed, a side effect of the greed and politics of the lords in power. Stealing bandit loot was one of his favorite pastimes. Robbing them of things such as sheathed weapons and equipment before they began their assaults on caravans and merchants was his best trick. He loved seeing the looks on their faces when they went for their weapons and found them missing. he also picked up a few goodies for himself from their past raids, enchanted gear that he favoured he kept, especially if it assisted him in stealing more.
Over the years his stockpile grew more and more, and in doing so he felt that he was doing his family proud by taking away from the bandits their prized money. His reputation spread as the Wind Thief. A man so fast that all you feel is a light breeze before everything you owned was gone. It was amuzing, as the rumor started when he got too close once and his breath brushed a bandits neck just before he vanished into the foliage again. But he wanted more excitement, more adventure. So he started to frequent the taverns at 19, lying about his age to get in and enjoy some ale while listening to the drunks and off-duty guards talk about things. From time to time, he'd hear about the Coldfire Knights and would smile at their stories. It was about time someone did something to improve this corrupt place. But he never thought he'd ever join them. Or, for that matter, did he think they would come into his little corner of the tavern after a recent job to relax and unwind.
Appearance
Show
Rorin's right eye is blue and his left green, his hair brown, and he usually wears a cloak he has had since he was young to protect him from the desert. His age is 19, height 6'2", and lightly tanned skin.
Personality
Show
Rorin is very much the kind of guy that enjoys doing what he wants when he wants to. He does listen to authority (So long as it isn't about thieving or things that go against his morals) and he respects those older than him (So long as they earn his respect by treating him the same). He's very carefree and somewhat optimistic, which hides his intelligence and his wisdom. Don't underestimate this guy, his smarts will have you rolling on the floor with a bolt between your ribs and a knife in your back.

Welcome to the crew Kalis! Yet one more game I get to hang with you in! Only problem I noted with your sheet is that your MBA doesn't include you +2 strength modifier in its attack and damage calculations.
I was a little surprised you took a brutal rogue build power for your third level encounter power, but that's not really a big deal. It is fun to knock your enemies prone after all.

I plan on using most of my skills to disable an opponent then move around a bit more. Most of them will be stealth and speed based but having something to stun an opponent so I can rush and flank another can be useful at times. I should listen to you though, you definitely seem skilled in the other games.

Heh, I ought to be, been playing D&D for over half my life by now. But no, if that's your reason, it makes good sense and you should keep it that way. Just add the +2 to hit and damage of you melee basic attack and the sheet will be fine.

I wasn't exposed until I was about 15, so it's a little over half my life. Not sure if that makes me young compared to you or not... But I feel a heckofa lot older due to my kids always running amok around me. Always makes me realize how many things I remember that happened before they were even born...

Was about 10. Now 40 (as of last month). Fortunately, I don't have the kids (fortunately for them and me), just cats.
