OOC: ....and here we go.

You are falling, falling for what seems forever throughout an endless  starry void. No wind is rushing past you and although you feel like you  shouldn't be able to breathe here, you can. Your downward movement  begins to increase faster and faster until you realize you are heading  towards a blinding and overly intense white light....

With a  thud, you hit solid ground. You are on a type of cobblestone road  however it is rough uneven and completely destroyed in some places.  Underneath your nose is the smell of blood. None of it is fresh, and as  your eyes begin to focus on your surroundings you find yourselves in a  town square of sorts, part of the surrounding is dominated by a massive  swirling and overly colorful (compared to the rest of the scenery)  gateway. Several humans and one stout dwarf with a bushy bright red  beard are wearing tarnished armor and brandishing weapons at the ready.

"Captain    Fireforge of the 1st portal defense regiment,  be ye friend or foe?" shouts  the dwarf, hand on the hilt of his sword ready for a fray should you  answer the later.

Having kept both eyes shut very tightly on the journey over, Fesunt very gingerly cracks one lid open, enough to locate her most important posession. She finds it and grasps it with her thin hands, a heavy tome with a cloth binding that may have been white in colour some age long past. The tiefling cracks her other eye open and sees the sights to be seen. She hears the dwarf's demand.

In an unknown place with the scent and sight of destruction all around, Fesunt Gines responds with her usual grace and composure.

"Oh gods! Don't kill me!" she whimpers, disappearing as best as she can into the folds of her slightly over-large robe and curling up around her tome in a fetal position.
It isn't evil, it isn't good, it's only what the people miss.

Quartz tries to land on his feet (Acrobatics check: (1d20+1=4) and failing miserably.  When he regains his senses the first thing Quartz sees is Fireforge's feet.  Looking up at a fellow dwarf, he says, Friend, I hope.  Quartz then picks himself up off the ground and dusts himself off.

The gaunt gith falls to the ground, a glass orb sent rolling across the ground. Greth picks himself up from the ground and dusts himself off as the orb floats back to him, coming to rest above his shoulder. "I mean no harm." He then turns his back to the guards and gazes into the portal, attempting to divine it's secrets.

Ruz lands with his traveling cloak concealing his features, along with most of his face. Upon hearing the Captain, he makes sure his human guise is still on, and then stands up slowly. I be friend, unless you wish me harm. And then he takes a careful step forward and appraises this commander and the others around him, taking careful note of the races, and weapons.

Aerich rolls with the fall (Acrobatics 1d20+9=22), landing in a crouch but still banged up. His double sword is in his hand, flattened against the ground, his sandy short sandy brown hair matted to his face. He looks up at the dwarf and other warriors, and slowly rises.

"I mean no harm to anyone here," he says, as he reaches his full heigth, double sword in hand, standing tall and proud as he is.

Spoiler: Show
OOC: If the roll isn't good enough to at least roll into a facsimile of a crouch, then I'll edit the description, sorry if I'm taking too much liberty with this.

As Bharhash falls to the ground, he makes an atempt to land on his feet gracefully.
Acrobatics check (1d20+9=20)

Bharhash looks around, then hears what the dwarf says.  Bharhash says, in response, "I mean you no harm, kind sir"

OOC: I'm in the middle of reviewing for exams next week, so sorry if my posts come kind of slowly this week and next week.

OOC: @levicat... m'kay.
@lonoto... don't worry bout it for now.  22 should be good enough for something like that.
@Davi... it is a portal but to where you can't distinguish it looks like it goes everywhere and nowhere at the same time.  The image as to where the portal may go changes every few seconds.

"They ain't monsters!"  Cries out the dwarf sheathing his sword and helping each of you in turn to your feet and the other guards help you to collect your possessions giving them immeadiately back to you if you've dropped anything.

Taking a more general look around it looks as though many a battle has taken place in this area,  You are surrounded on three sides by boarded up buildings that look like they haven't been used for at least a year if not more.  On the final side is a make shift fence that appears to be crudely and quickly constructed; but between it and the guards here looks like it could keep would be assailants from the rest of the city.

"Creepy ain't it..." remarks the Dwarf to the gith who's staring at the portal trying to size it up.  "So where all are you from?  I don't think I've ever seen a ragtag group such as yourself all come through at the same time."

"Oh...from P-Passage, you know. I'm called Fesunt. That ritual I tried yesterday must have had some aftereffects...Is this still Aundair territory? Where's the nearest lightning rail?," Fesunt says, shakily taking the assistance of a guard to stand to her feet, "The wizard won't be pleased if he finds out I've been practicing without permission..."

"I am Greth, originally from a monestary in the Elemental Chaos. I doubt you have heard of it."

Greth continues to stare into the portal. "Tell me, what do you know about this portal. I have never seen one such as this."
