Wow, I guess I've missed a few months. Just been busy and such, even neglecting my games to some degree. 

Still, we're still here and still going strong. Plenty of games operating. I remember back when I first took over on the haven. Almost a year now, and looking back, the haven was on life support. There weren't any active games, nobody was posting or recruiting. I even recall one or two people telling me I should just pull the plug and let it die.

And look at us now. ten or so games active, even if some have sporadic activity, including another game or two that just started. We've suffered some loses here and there (I know Xeadin still has no home internet), but he have a strong and decent community of players.

Old news to cover once more: In case you missed it several months ago,  I enabled any member of the group to make use of the group blog as well as upload photos to the group gallery. Might be useful to you, might not, but if it is, have at it.

As for non-PbP game parts of our group, I'll offer yet another reminder that we have an off-topic forum (Haven's Hoarde) for general OOC chatter and discussion of PbP styles, hints, and advice. We also, at the request of a member, have opened a new forum section called The Colosseum.

Still, as always with PbP games, attrition has been nasty of the last few months, with a lot of games fading away. I do know that one of my games which has fallen by the wayside will be returning though.

Add a link to the haven in your signature. Invite your friends to stop by and join. Anything you can think of to let people know we exist and bring in more people. The more people we have in the haven, the more games that will be run and the more players we have for the games we run.

Another long running suggestion. If you are a member of a game not being played on the haven, you can still visit. Been a long and busy moth this July, so I'm running a bit later than I'd prefer on this months broadcast, but here it is and here we go.

For those of you still receiving this who don't frequent the Haven anymore, here is a list of the newly arrived games:

Some games of course, have fallen by the wayside, but I do note that of the games that came up for recruitment recently, they filled up quite rapidly. Of course, we're always sad to loose games, but this month has been very encouraging for me. After my request last month to see if anyone wanted to get some non-4th edition games up and running, we've gotten a strong surge of new games up and running, a very promising sign.

Next up on my agenda, this is a bit of old news, but in case you missed it in the announcement section of the group, I was messing with the group permissions several months ago, and I enable any member of the group to make use of the group blog as well as upload photos to the group gallery. 

Another thing to mention, is a reminder that we do have a general off-topic forum in the group. It gets very little traffic, so little that I hadn't even noticed it had a post until I was looking around today. It's far from a popular section of our group, but there are several thread there that may be of interest for readers to contribute or simple read, such as the Broadcast Suggestion thread, a PbP DM advice thread, and a PbP Player Advice thread. If you have some time and think you might have something to share, stop by and toss a few posts there as well.

Much to my dismay when I performed housekeeping on the recruitment forum today though, we only have one game that is currently recruiting (listed below). Thats a bit worrisome, so I want to invite everyone to jump in and take a chance DMing a game. You never know, you might end up liking it.

Of course, we're always sad to loose games, but this month has been very encouraging for me. Been an on and off month for the Haven, this one, with some games relocating and others simply closing up shop for one reason or another, but we've still got some games going, and others recruiting.
