I saw the Salvation forums, and I can definitely see the allure.
You mean, like how they actually have games running? 
Many, many games running with revolving queues. It's a pretty active environment. That said, I love PaPa.

Is this place dead?
We seemed to have lost mafia players to another site, or they've just lost interest.
Or ran out of time.
No...not that way.
 Also, I fully agree with the mafia MVP... JaC is too damn hard to catch as scum. Even when I started being sure he was scum, I was not sure and had to invent some plans to fish for reactions... which he would have probably passed and I would have had nothing to use against him...
Oh yes, JaC's a genius at this.

Apparently there's NOT any reson to continue coming here. We only have one non-mini up, it's the PC in signups and we've barely got 10 people signed up after 10 days.
This forum is dead.
I'll finish out my current round of 20 questions and take a look then, but I think this forum is dead. Or at least, too dead to actually come here for Mafia.
