1. PK has joined me as Co-GM. I have not had enough time to keep this boat afloat and I needed help in this groups revival. I've asked PK to help me revitalize this group.
*Please check back here periodically for new updates.

2. We will no longer be granting mod-powers for hosting games. We will update threads and remove posts at the request of mods. You all know I've been slow adding and removing your mod-powers and they are largely unused at best and a potential liability at worst.

3. In order to streamline activity and vistors we are moving the existing threads from The Rec Room forum to the dead threads. From now on all threads that would normally be posted there (including, but not limited to: Strategy, Theory, Random Chatter, and Non-Mafia Posting Games) can be posted in the upcoming Community Forum, which will take the place of the Mafia Lists & Notice Board Forum.

4. We are now implementing an activity monitoring system in all games. Each player in an acitve game is required to post AT LEAST once every 72 hours. If this is not possible, a player anticipating such an absence, if they do not want to be replaced or mod-killed, must announce, in-thread, that they will be V/LA (Vacation/Limited Access) and for how long. Players exceeding 72 hours between posts without an announced V/LA will be prodded. A player has 48 hours to respond to the prod. The first prod a player receives is a warning, the second prod will trigger a forced replacement. In any circumstance (first or second prod), if no replacement can be located in 72 hours that player's slot will be killed by the mod. Examples
Show
Player is inactive for 73 hours. -Prod is sent
- Scenerio A: Player A responds within 48 hours. Everyone is happy
- Scenerio B: Player B fails to respond within 48 hours, mod seeks replacement and succeeds within 72 hours. Everyone is happy.
- Scenerio C: Player C fails to respond within 48 hours, mod seeks replacement and fails within 72 hours. Player is Modkilled.
- Scenerio D: Player A is inactive for a second 73 hours. Player A is not given a chance to respond in 48 hours and Player A is force replaced or modkilled in a replacement search greater than 72 hours.

5. INT level games are now being reserved for special events including, but not limited to: Invitationals, Occasionals, Promotionals and Player's Choice. This change may be reviewed later once the player base can sustain larger games. However, with this rather significant change we are also revising the Mini Rules to be more flexible in design space. The revised Mini Rules will be completed within a week from this post.

6. All games MUST be approved by an authorized reviewer. Please contact SJT or PK when the design file is ready for review, significantly prior to the opening of sign-ups. We may review it ourselves or pass it on to another authorized reviewer so PK and I could play in a game together occasionally.
Once a game is approved it can move into Sign-Ups.
Once a game fills there is a 24 hour holding period where replacements can volunteer. Please PM PK or SJT for permission to begin actual game play.

7. All mod-killable offenses other than activity issues, including but not limited to; quoting of mod-supplied PMs, non-permitted outside communication, playing against the win condition of your assigned faction (other than self), intentionally being offensive to players or mods, will be reviewed by the staff and a probation or penalty may be assigned to the user. While it is up to the game's host to decide what is mod-killable or not, it is up to the staff to determine the repercussions. The staff will be available to assist game hosts in determining what in game actions require such a punishment. It may be the case that, for the sake of the game's integrity, an offense may require a punishment other than mod-kill following the game. The point here is not to micromanage games, but to keep the environment healthy and fun for all players and hosts. Mod-Killable offenses as well as chronic replacement issues (particularly in cases without notice) may result in some form of penalty to the group member. Possible punishments include having your game delayed indefinitely, game kicked down a list, and not being allowed to join games. In the case of blatant cheating or something severely inappropriate, in a very extreme circumstance you could be blacklisted from the forum permanently.

8. We are announcing the names of the different sized games as: Standard and Extended. Standard: A Standard game takes place of our former Mini games. All Standard games have a set size of 12 players. Traditional Standard games can not include new mechanics or any bastard elements (Lies or Deceits from the Mod to Player). Standard +: A Standard + game is set to 12 players and allows for new mechanics and/or bastard elements. Extended: An Extended game takes place of our former Intermediate games and has a player maximum of 16. Since Extended games are currently being reserved for special events, such as Promos, Invitationals, and Players Choices, there are no other design limitations to an Extend games. Additionally, we have opened a new hosting thread. You may sign up to host games there. Game designers and hosts must meet the following prerequisites: 1. Your first game must be a Standard Open Design. An Open Design game includes Roles in the opening post. Most often an Open Design game is very basic in role complexity. 2. Your second game can be either open or closed, but can not be a Standard + or Extended game. A Closed Design does not reveal Roles in the opening post and you have more freedom in role selection. 3. Your third game is permitted to be a Standard + game. Standard + games are encouraged to be more complex than what is allowed in a regular Standard game. 4. Once you have the ability to host a Standard + game, you are permitted to host an Extended game should the opportunity present itself. If you have hosted a game prior to the announcement of these rules, you may already host an Extended or Standard+ game. If you have hosted games somewhere else, you may discuss it with a GM and see if an exception can be made in your case. Once activity picks up we may unfreeze the Extended hosting queue, but for now it remains frozen. All games must be approved by an authorized reviewer (see Update #6). A game will not get the green light until it has been approved.
