Deadline has passed. We march forward into the dawn. With the sun's first rays comes the awareness that there be dead body here. After a very quick numbers check you find Niklor is dead. He was Max Rebo (Drunk Musician) from Star Wars: Episode VI.

Day is now upon us. I am setting the standard five day deadline for July 1st, roughly 10 pm PST. With three alive, it's two to lynch.

What the hell is happening with this game?

Let me get this straight: We've got three players left -- me, JaC, Peregrine. Only two have votes (probably) -- me and Pere -- and yet the game's still going. Seems like JaC has got to be the last scum, then, right? If Pere was the scum, wouldn't he have won with Niklor's death? Same goes for me.

But Jay specifically says "With three alive, it's two to lynch." That either means that JaC does have a vote, somehow, or that we're just still playing because the last scum can't quick-lynch. In the case of the latter, it's just a question of who throws down the first vote and wins the tie-breaker.

So how about this for a test: JaC tries to place a vote on whoever he thinks is scummiest and we ask for a vote count; if the vote doesn't work or if he refuses to try, he's probably scum; if the vote works, any one of us could be scum. There is a risk, of course: if JaC is town and he places his vote unwisely and his vote goes through, the scum player can hammer the second townie for the win, but (all things being equal) the odds of that happening aren't better than 1-in-3. The most likely outcome, in my opinion, is that he still can't vote.
