Vampire: the Mafia - Gehenna

Vampire: the Mafia introduced   interesting concepts like a state between life and death named torpor,  a  way to feed on the power of the dead (diablerie), multipe   town-factions.
Vampire: the Mafia - Gehenna will expand on these as   vampire-society is faced with the end of the world as we know it.   Ancient vampires, so called antediluveans - powerful beings rumored to   predate even the great flood of Noah - awaken to guide their children   during the final stage of a war that has been raging for millenia -   Jihad. Frontlines are broken as the war is no longer Camarilla against   Sabbat. Everyone might in truth be mere puppets, pawns mindlessly   wasted for unnoticable gains. It is time to learn who is it that pulls   your strings.

Project Turbine Mafia -- A story of many worlds.

1943 -- Top Secret US Military Research and Development Division called Alumni created a device codenamed Sunder. This device is tested immediately in the New Mexico Desert Testing Facility. The testers disappeared, never to be seen again. This was the turning point of Project Turbine.
1949 -- President Truman covers up the disappearence of the small town of Pelican's Harbor in Eastern Virginia. Rumors of the words Fists of Heaven scrawled on the town are researched. This coincides with Trumans closign of Project Turbine.
1951 -- An unknown buyer purchases one thousand acres of land in the Kansas Plains. The area is quickly fenced off and the cult Fists of Heaven apply for recognized status as a nonprofit organized group. They take residence in the area and cut themselves off from the rest of the world.
1967 -- The Fists of Heaven leader, James Tannen, dies at the age of 54. The FBI send in a spec ops team to assault the Fists of Heaven Conclave. Upon arriving everything has disappeared.
1971 -- Jacob Kingsley is born.
1985 -- The US Government reopens Project Turbine.
1989 -- Jacob Kingsley is placed as the new head of Project Turbine.
1991 -- Mr. Kingsley breaks the newly developed Sunder out of the Alumni facility in Austin, Texas.
1999 -- A world-renowed scientist, Dr. Mikail Herrier, publishes an essay on the existence of parallel universes and the theory of translocation. He disappears three months later.
2007 -- A US Top Secret file is sent to the FBI. Inside it is a picture of Dr. Mikail Herrier talking to Jacob Kingsley. In the background is a highly advanced city.
2010 -- The Fists of Heaven resurface, with only one fourth of their original population. The FBI search them, but find no evidence of the original Sunder under their possession. That same year a message is sent to Thomas Morrow, Director of the FBI. This message was supposedly a contact from Jacob Kingsley telling Thomas Morrow about the true nature of Sunder. Thomas Morrow disappears one week later.
2011 -- Thomas Morrow resurfaces. Taken into questioning by his replacement Anthony Deccard, he claims to have traveled between realities. Thomas Morrow is ordered to be taken to a holding facility. He disappears en route.

Unlock the secrets of multiple realities. Discover the power of Sunder. Control the unimaginable.

Game created by Febb/EP. Story by Febb. BuM EP. A 16-20 player game.

Realistic Touhou Mafia

Once upon a time, Reimu was the sole guardian of Gensokyo. If people needed guidance, they would come to her shrine. Nevertheless, because of her lax nature and the dangerous roads to her shrine, almost no-one visited.

In 2007, a new shrine was opened at the top of Youkai Mountain. This shrine was inhabited by 2 gods and wanted to put Reimu out of business. After learning they are not really direct competitors they allowed each other to co-exist.

After a plan of the gods backfired slightly, a new Buddhist monk named Byakuren rose to power in 2009. Defying the Youkai Mounain Shrine, this new monk made a temple in the middle of the human settlement.

The humans on the other hand learned of Byakuren's past and how all kinds of youkai are now found in their safe haven and they do not like it. They desired change. And those desires...just may come true.

Realistic Touhou Mafia: Ten Desires.
  • 20-22 players
  • A town, a mafia, and a third team-alignment that is not a cult or another mafia team.
  • No real vanilla roles. Your role is how you can abuse the ability of your character.
  • Return of real wins and small wins for certain in-game achievements.

(Copied from the PC#6 submission thread)

Welcome to Schizophrenia Mafia.

You  have all been gathered here because you all suffer from schizophrenia.   Each of you is known to possess 2 unique personalities.

Some of  you are doubtlessly thinking that this cannot be true.  You are who you  are, not someone else.  This is because, for the last week we have been  giving you daily doses of a suppressant drug that has allowed only one  of your personalities to manifest itself.

Our objective here is  to discover which of your personalities is the "good" one and which the  "bad".  We have grouped you all together and you will soon be allowed to  mingle with your fellow patients.  At the end of each day, you and your  fellow patients will let us know which of you is unsuited to remain  within society.  That person will be removed temporarily, taken to a  secure facility, and have large amounts of electricity ramped through  their brain.  This process will obliterate their currently dominant  personality, allowing their remaining personality to surface. Although  it will not affect their memories, their new personality will likely  possess different capabilities than the one that was removed.  They will  have the rest of the night to recover and become acquainted with their  new self before they are reintroduced to the rest of the group.

Now  let me be clear.  All of you are not only sufferers of schizophrenia,  but all of you have committed serious crimes of various natures.  Your  crimes are varied, but all were felonies that carry the death penalty if  convicted.  All of you HAVE been convicted, though many of you may not  remember it.  The courts though, have deemed it inhumane to sentence you  to death while there is still a chance to redeem you by removing your  criminal personality and allowing your other personality to return back  into society.  Under strict probation of course.  Each of you has a  chance to redeem yourselves and avoid being sentenced to death.

Unfortunately,  for all we know, both of your personalities may be criminals, unfit to  function within society.  Any of you that are reintroduced after having  your first personality wiped out and find yourselves still incapable of  functioning among your peers will again be taken to the secure facility  to have your brain fried.  This will almost certainly leave you a  vegetable, but since you've been sentenced to death anyway by the  courts, so be it.

Now, it is time to introduce you to your fellow  inmates patients...

Features:

This will be  a 16 player game where (most) players will have two lives.  If you are  "killed" the first time, you "should" be given a second role PM and  allowed back into the game.  If you are killed a second time, you will  most likely die.

At least one player will only have 1 life,  (exactly one other will actually have 3).  So don't throw away your  first life just because it is vanilla in the hopes of getting something  better.  You may find out that you got dead, not "better".

The  list of secondary personalities is NOT tied to original personalities.   The list is randomized (including at least one spot for the "No second  personality" and will be distributed to each player as their first  personality is wiped.  Random.org will determine which "second" wiping  will receive the third chance personality.  In this way, any player may  end up with any role from the list of second personalities.

There  is a Mafia working to get the rest of you mind wiped while protecting  their own murderous personalities.  If you can manage to wipe out all of  them at any point in the game, "Town" will win.

The number of  Mafia alive at any point may actually increase as Townies die and  receive their second personalities.

Special arrangements have  been made to allow Mafia to come back as Town.  Nothing will prevent  them from spilling all they know about their former scumbuddies.   Nevertheless, the design allows this to work without breaking the game.  (PK laughed uproariously when the method was explained to him )

If  this game is selected, and there is huge demand to join, it can be  expanded beyond 16 players relatively easily.

Badguy, it would probably be better to wait regardless.  Remember that you're kinda running your mini right now.

Mythos Mafia

Something's rotten in the town of Arkham, perhaps the entire world.  The Old Ones are rising, the stars will soon be right...

Some of of the most notable figures of Arkham and the Dreamlands have decided to take action, and the Old Ones have taken notice.  Between the lot of them, they could have enough knowledge to delay the inevitable fall of earth into a new dark age -- if they don't go insane first.

What You Can Expect
  • Colorful, interesting roles drawn from the works of H. P. Lovecraft
  • Sanity (and with it, possible insanity) as a game mechanic
  • A large (20-player), complex game as befits a Players Choice
  • No Cult mechanic.  Pinky swear.  Cultist-Aligned is the name of the mafia
  • Mild to moderate bastardry only

I remember my mini, but that still doesn't really help.
