since i said in the last post i'll see what playtest 2 has to give me i'll think about it.

it came out and i thought about it. did 5th ed light a fire in me?

i won't rant as it won't help. the designers, at least at this point with the playtests, are not interested in giving me an experience i care for.

as such, i don't have much interest for their game.

Looks like my preferred version of D&D is simply not going to be getting any love from the 5th ed devs. they've stated their design goals and methodology and too many of them go against what i'm looking for in a fantasy RP

5th ed does not seem to be shaping up to be a game i will care for, though i'll see when the next playtest comes out what they have to offer at that time.

but until then, i'm off. no point in wasting more time here. 

i just came to a realization:

i don't care.

i just no longer care about this community. for a while it's been nothing but nay-sayings and doomsday predictions and i just no longer care about this. general discussion is no longer a place i want to hang out at and everytime i look at it i see nothing but spite and hate being thrown at a game i finally like even after looking at the alternatives.

so i'm grabbing my hat & coat, picking up my check, tipping the waitress and saying thanks for the past few years. 

my first blaag post.

i'm not sure how to start this off... do i smash a bottle of cheap-ass champaigne on my monitor? do i pay off some kids to start a ticker-tape parade in the apartment's yard? do i drone endlessly about my self-importance and my... rich... past?

some might've seen me post on the D&D section of the forums. it's kinda like my home away from home away from home. maybe even more away then that even.

/shrug

now, you'll notice i don't call this a "blog". that's because this is a "blaag". more like word dump for my brain then a place for me to post life-changing revelations or prophetic visions of tomorrow. just a big old place for me to blaag about BS. there might be nugget of gold here and there... eventually... but as they say: More Dakka means you're bound to hit something, sometimes.

also, i'm a TVTropes fiend. i will litter my posts, both blaag and forum, with links to this wonderful little site in hope of reducing human productivity to nil.

well, it's food time, so i'm signing off until i have more words to dump onto the intertube!
