I'm just gonna ramble on here and note down whats happening in my "home campaign" with my Son and sometimes a couple of his friends. I play a character as well so that he has some backup for when it's just us, but we are both D&D mad so we make it work haha.
I'm currently starting him off at Lvl 1 and running through the Reavers of Harkenwold adventure, adjusted a wee bit to compensate for two characters. My son, Quin, plays a Human Ranger called Garth, and he has built the character based on "The Rangers Apprentice" books by John Flanaghan, thus he is a Longbow toting, Saxe Knife weilding stealthy guy who doesn't wear armor, and plays him like it as well.
His "support guy", the one I play, is a Half Orc Barbarian named Rendar who weilds twin Scimitars (yeah, i'm a Drizzt fan) and deals out some serious damage whilst yelling "TEMPUS" at the top of his lungs and drawing most of the attention to himself.
When Quins friends come around we are joined by a Human Thief named Lucan (one of my older characters that one of Quins friends loves, so we used him for this campaign) who also has a background as a Wizards Apprentice, but he was kicked out of that path when his light fingers got him into trouble; and also a Dwarf Fighter named Thoradin Travenfist, who is affectionately known as "The Little Tank" and is not quite right in the head..... he talks to his Greataxe.
More to come later
