 Newsflash! Dated 6.2 ABY -The Hutt Empire is reeling from the loss of a family patriarch. After the murder of the illustrious Jabba the Hutt at the hands of criminals, chaos has befallen much of the Hutt empire in the Outer Rims. The Hutts are currently recruiting new mercenaries on the moon of Nar Shaddaa to help deal with the chaos on their worlds.
GMs Note: The Saturday group will answer this call; your character must be a mercenary willing to work for the Hutts, or a slave forced to work for the Hutts, or someone who’s too poor to do anything else… -The fall of the Empire has resulted in new opportunities for old powers. Many corporations and noble families from the Senate era are positioning themselves for a power play in the New Republic. The Clovis family from the planet Scipio is one such power; they are currently seeking mercenaries to help reestablish their presence in the universe. The Clovis’ loyalties are currently unknown, making them a worthy prospect for many recruits.
GMs Note: The Thursday group will work for the Clovis family. -Restrictions on Employment Terminals across the galaxy have been waved, as many would-be job seekers have been pulled into the Galactic Civil War. It would seem that even droids could be employed for tasks once reserved for elite commandos or bounty hunters. Groups of misfits are forming to take advantage of the ample employment opportunities available on the newly restored HoloNet.
GMs Note: The Sunday group will be accepting work from the HoloNet, for the beginning of the campaign, as they have chosen to be a wacky group that would not be employed by merchants under normal circumstances.

Mining Equipment ThiefToday the Galactic Empire posted a significant bounty for the capture of a mysterious cloaked figure that has been implicated in several thefts of mining equipment in the last few weeks. The thief has been hunted by Imperial Stormtroopers on several planets, but with the escalating war against the so-called ‘New Republic’, the Galactic Empire has decided to once again call on the aid of Bounty Hunters and Mercenaries. Imperial Captain Tandra Pryl said of the bounty, “This villain is worth more to us alive then dead, but be wary of his mystical powers- keep him unconscious at all times if you capture him. Newsflash! Dated 6.2.16 ABYClovis Family Paying Large Sums
for Loyal Mercenaries; Hutts Displeased.The Clovis Merchant Consortium, better known as the Clovis Family from planet Scipio, has posted notice that they are paying steady credit wages for mercenaries and porters. Exceptional candidates will be given rank and office in the Scipion Guard. Candidates should report to recruiting stations established in several major cities. The Clovis Family has seen a rise in both commerce and power since the destruction of the second Death Star, due in part to the current lack of enforcable trade restrictions.
This announcement by the Clovis Family is in many ways an insult to the Hutts, who currently control many of the shipping lanes that once belonged to fallen banking clans such as the Clovis. The rise of planets similar to Scipio threatens the power gained by the Hutts during the Galactic Empire, and many expect a trade war.

Newsflash! Dated 6.2.18 ABYScipon Militia thwarts sabotage
of freighter SAMESKA press release from the Clovis Family of Scipio indicates that the freighter ship SAMESK was the target of a failed sabotage attempt. Droid assassins and soldiers were smuggled onto the ship while it was loading cargo from the industrial center of Metallos. Guards manning the SAMESK managed to disrupt the droids long enough for Scipion Militia to board the ship and rescue the hired guns. While casualties were reported among the guards, the Scipon Militia managed to best the remaining droid assassins without significant injury. The SAMESK was travelling to the peaceful farming world of Taanab to deliver unregulated agricultural and mining equipment. Most of the equipment was undamaged, and delivered with the aid of the Scipon Militia. A high ranking official of the Scipon Militia claims the droids were planted by the Hutts; as of yet, the Hutts have failed to respond to these allegations. But it would be no surprise if the Hutt Syndicate attempted to sabotage their competition. It is known that a rise in trade power of the Clovis Family would be directly cut from the trade routes currently controlled by the Hutts; many experts fear an all out war between the two factions. Both the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire claim neutrality in this matter, as the lack of central control spreads across the galaxy.
