Hello everyone! This is my first thread in here. I am with a little problem, in RPG games, MMORPGs and game like that you usually, when lvl up, you refill completly your HP and Mana, but in the section of leveling, in all the books, it does not mention anything of refilling. So my question is, when you lvl up, do you recover all your hp, all your used daily powers and recover all healing surges? Thanks =D Oh and I'm talking about 4E

I have not played 4 the edition for about a year though I am about to start a game as a DM. In most games where i was a player, that was always one of those "house rule" things. Most of my DM's in all the editions had it set up that you did not "level up" even though you had the XP until you stopped and rested, which takes care of almost all your concerns except daily powers. One of my DM's gave them to us, the other only did if the rest was sufficient enough by game rules to give us our daily powers back. I would say it is your call.

I agree with the comments from EpicPlayer, when my players (either in Encounters of my home games) level up they usually get the benefits next session - though in Encounters its slightly different, the new powers become available but refilling doesnt occur until the following extended rest but healing can bring their hp up to the new levels if available.
"Well that encounter was easy....er, guys, why is the DM grinning?" (party members last words) It's not a party till the screaming starts!

Most DMs allow one nights sleep to regain HP and spell slots after leveling up, though conditions of the story can change that. So as I would see it. No. The HP you gained from the level up would be added as existing HP, but it will not give you full health.
