This is a test to see if we can post html exported from the monsterbuilder. as you can see above I think it might work.

    I did a 4 step process

    1.  I exported/copied the monster from the mopnster builderas rich text.

    2. Then I pasted it into word.

    3. Then I saved the word doc as an html

    4. I opened the html in notepad and found that word puts way to much meta data in the html header but i copied all the html between

    these two parts

    5. I pasted the that html into my post.

I think this might work? the only 2 problems might be that not everone has word, But I bet open office would work. and not everyone has the dnd4attack font used in the stat blocks, but i think that comes when you install monster builder. It might also be available for free someware but I'm not sure

    Community Monster Manual

    Wednesday, March 3, 2010, 10:12 AM

this is a copy of something I posted on the community forum, just thought i would post it to my blog as well

I'm Not really sure were to post a thread like this, and whom I should address (I'm thinking it would be directed to the person in charge of the Wizards Community site)  But I had an idea for a collaborative community project. I'm sure you all know of the ddi adventure tools and the monster builder. I was thinking  it would be really cool to do a Community Monster Manual, where people could post custom monsters in the .xml  or rich text format that the adventure tools exports  and people could vote on their favorites. the winners would be compiled into a PDF book dubed the "Community Monster Manual".

This could be a fun project that everyone could be involved in. We  could post results of play testing (recounting how the monsters fare in peoples games)

Please reply if this sounds like an  interesting idea. I would be willing to compile the results into a final form.

I'm a little laps in my DDI membership so I don't have a current version, But I'm well versed in the operations of the Adventure Tools

Just thought it might be a good idea.

p.s. sorry if this is a repeat idea.

    anatomy of a battle map

    Friday, September 11, 2009, 5:14 PM

I'm thinking of showing the process I use to makea battle map. It might be interesting to some people. I have 3 completed and when I find a place to host them I will post links to multi-page PDFs so people can print them out and use them in their campaigns.
