      Update: Some replies suggest Gatecrash might be connected to the Nephilim, maybe with the help of the Cult of Yore. lorstarcutter has a cool theory.
      In Sinker all the guilds unite against a common threat, probably one introduced with Gatecrash. That’s also why they split the guilds 5-5-10 and not almost evenly like in Ravnica.
      TL;DR -
      RtR: Nothing.
      Gatecrash: Plane-wide event, possibly with plane portal. Thus merfolk and set name.
      Sinker: Guilds unite against threat...
