It's what I use when I generate the packs.  I mean, I used to use an excel sheet and random.org, but that takes a lot longer.  And Apprentice (which is what I used to use) can't generate packs with Mythics.  There have been some concerns posted before that bestiare may not be fully random, and I don't think it uses print runs (but neither would my Excel sheet), but the packs seem reasonable to me, and if we all use it, it should be fine.

As a side note, I always randomize my library before every draw.  If I pre-set a full library, I can't help but look ahead.  By pulling randomly each time, I don't have that problem.  Of course, if some effect modifies my lirbrary order (Scry, etc.) that's easy enough to account for.

I don't think Beastaire is completely random, I got two identical rares.

I use a number key.  On one page I have a list of numbers (order of deck) on another page I have the card names with numbers.

I'm comfortable with Bestiare; getting two of the same rares isn't all that unlikely; it's certainly happened to me both on paper and on MTGO; my very quick and dirty math in fact says it should happen somewhere around 20% of the time for regular rares.

If you are using a set of numbers, please remember that your rare list should have list all regular rares twice and the mythics once to get the percentages right.

I generated packs yesterday, and should be able to build my deck today.  I'll open a new thread for my game vs. tgva once i'm ready.

I got the deck together.  This pile fills me with thoughts of hilarity at how utterly not good it is.  Maybe I'm spoiled.

No I use Bestaire to crack packs, then make a decklist with numbers.
