Tin looks around the morgue quickly to see if there is anyone hiding.  A vortex opened by accident would tend to scare most people she knows. 

She also checks to see if there is some kind of device/unit that would have opened this vortex. 

To Julian's question, "Do you think this opening will stay open long enough for them to get here before it closes?  If it would, and we plan to use it, then yes, we need to get them here fast."

She then realizes something and steps out and to the table where Casanova left the pass card.  She picks it up and brings it back to the morgue.  "We may need this a little bit longer to get our friends down here."

She then begins to look over the body and the dead man's possessions, including a more thorough search. 

Tin hears Casanova's first statement and then puts the card back down.  "OK, we can leave this then."  But, she still searches the body for anything that might be useful or important.

On the way back, she replies to his question.  "Officially, I'm tasked with his safety."  She thinks for a moment and decides it's probably OK to admit the truth to her new friends.  "And he and I are in love.  And, when the time is right, he'll announce it publicly and we can be together openly."

"Well, wouldn't the vortex change if we opened it back at the hotel? I mean we'd have to trek back to this spot to start tracking him right? And who knows the dangers that could roam the next world and would make our little trek even harder. JD states as he walks towards the pass and peers at the body (just looking at the body, not actually searching it). Seemingly ignoring the talk of love.

Tin pauses and looks around.  She says, "Dr. Hill? Where are you?  How are you talking to me?"

Tin gets quiet and asks in her head, "You can hear me when I think at you?  Oh, and pause copying." 

She thinks for a few moments.  Then her military training kicks in.  She thinks commands/questions to the voice. 
"OK, tell me what you are and where you are located.  Tell me your abilities." 
"Can you detect others like yourself?  If so, where are they?" 
"Can you network with others like you and if so, does that increase your abilities and/or your accuracy and/or your range?" 
"Oh, and if you can network with the other slide devices in this area, request a copy of the starting/ending co-ordinates of that vortex that happened a few minutes ago." 

"Oh, since you sound like Dr. Hill, I shall call you 'Hill'."

(OOC: What time of day is it?  Don't need exact time.  Just need to know if it is dark, or it is close to getting dark.  Would make it easier for our friends at the hotel to move around outside with us if it is dark.)

Tin, "I am not this Dr. Hill and I am transmitting through your sliding device. I am a program created to assist you with the functionality and to help ease the sliding process."

"Yes I can hear you when you think at me as you put it. Copying halted."

"As I mentioned I am a program created to assist you in the sliding process. I am located [**wherever Tin keeps her cell phone**] I will assist you. That is my purpose and my function."


"I can detect and keep track of other copies I make and I can try to write a program to just detect other devices if you wish. But I can detect vortexes and beings that don't belong in this dimension. Like the gentlemen around you now."

"I don't know. I've never tried to network with other so I do not know the effect. But I can open a channel and try to communicate with any others I find and perhaps we will see what effect networking would have."

"I can and will record the destination of that last vortex."

"And you can call me whatever you wish." Hill concludes. All these answers come to you as you ask them.
