Anybody who has won a gold medal in a prior competition, two silver medals or three medals of any denomination is eligible to be a judge. Once eligible to be a judge, that privilege will not be revoked (barring circumstances I can't even imagine). However, lots of eligible judges do not participate. Some have left the forums. Some prefer to be competitors only. To ensure that only those who may be interested in judging are pestered about judging, only judges who have either judged or have first become qualified to judge within the last ten competitions, or have specifically asked me to keep contacting them, will be contacted. These individuals are known as "Active Judges." All other judges are known as "Eligible Judges." Judges may add user bars to their posts showing their eligibility to judge the MDMCs. Please note that if you are an eligible judge who is not listed as active, but you would like to judge a competition, please PM me (or whoever is coordinating the competitions). We always are looking for judges.
