Thanks Zimbardo, I have had little time to help this week. I kind of put all my effort in the beggining knowing I would be of little use this week. Rimaur thanks for soem excellent suggestions. The only thing I question is the Temporal Isolation over Pacifism. There are quite a few shadow guys in the WW list and it would suck to give them a blocker for your evasive dudes. I'm not really a WW type person though, so I don;t have much experience with the archtype in general and deffer to other people's opinion on that deck such as your self or ChrisKool, who I know has played it more than I. Also I agree with Sacred Mesa being better in control decks. WW doesn't want to pay the constant upkeep. Things like Battle Screech seem better for WW if one would want to go that rout. I wonder if Cenn's Enlistment would be ok as a late game card. Cloudgoat Ranger should be included first though and the new Token card from Zen. I might be on for some playtesting tonight.

A few cards I've noticed that should probably be added somewhere or other: Burning Wish (not sure where it should go, but it's too good not to be somewhere) Scapeshift (It would take some tuning, but with the right number of mountains it can end games randomly thanks to Valakut.) Demonfire (RG probably makes the best use of it) Goblin Charbelcher (can win on its own) + Mana Severance (turns off excess land drops, which is nuts in control mirrors and turns on Charbelcher kill) Helm of Obedience + Leyline of the Void (not sure how well this slots in anywhere, but it's decent, and Leyline is useful on its own. Helm also stops a number of relevant tutor effects.) The counterbalance lock should probably get slotted in somewhere; possibly UW with ways to find it easily That's all I've got at the moment; MTGO Username: Dr_TRex

Sacrificial23 on MTGO I posted this on the Standard Forum, and I think it really applies here as well: We have two teams of eight, each with a deck that is #1, #2 ... etc best deck on each team. Now Assume that Deck #1 on one team is of the same power as Deck #1 on the other team. If we pair everybody up such that #1vs#1, #2vs#2 etc, the result is that the entire tournament will depend on who gets lucky and wins. But what if one team were to sacrifice a player, such that it would be #1vs#2, #2vs#3, ...#8vs#1? Logic would dictate that the team who switched would have 7 players win and 1 player lose. In this competition, the final point score would at its worst end up 53-25, which would be a monumental upset. So the idea is this: Concentrate on building 5 or 6 decks that get everything they need, then build the other decks with what remains. If everything goes as planned, we should dominate in points.
I have no problems, I could just use a bit of time.

Hi, glad I can help; MTGO name: Shawnr If the format is teams, is the life total shared? If thats the case, how is attacking handled? Basically I invisioned having one deck be "all counters" one deck "all agro", another "all walls" and another "all kill/control spells" (artifact and enhcantment and lands, too) If thats not how this will work, where can i find out how it will?

Teams, not multiplayer. All games are duels.
4. Don't speak dumb, or you'll be struck dumb.
Remember, the name of the game is heads I win, tails you lose.

Platipus10 was playing me using the UG Storm deck, and it looks really good. It doesn't have problems going off, and the mana seems good. But, it is a really tricky deck to play. We really think somebody from the team should take that deck on as soon as possible and learn some of its quirks, such as when to go for the alternate win conditions. Danger, have you considered playing that deck?

Hey guys. I would be available over the next few weeks to playtest some decks. I read through the first few pages and will continue to read the remainder of the thread; I noticed platipus10 had posted potential decks. One suggestion would be to update the list if anything has changed, as well as posting in a .dek format to make it easier on those who would like to try out the decks, make suggestions, playtest, etc. MTGO name is StasisFreak Edit: Just finished scanning the posts and saw on page 6 decklist links to mymtgo. Are these the latest decks you two (Zimbardo/platipus) are working on?

StasisFreak: we have been keeping the spreadsheet up to date, and when we make changes I go to the myMTGO decks and update them as well. There will be times when the spreadsheet is ahead of the deck links, but it won't last for long. Here is the original set: Deck 1: UW Control Deck 2: UBR Crosis Control Deck 3: GBW Rock Control Deck 4: UG Storm Combo Deck 5: G Elves Deck 6: RG Aggro Deck 7: R Goblins Deck 8: White Weenie For the Reanimator version of things, we replace Crosis with Reanimator, which also causes UW Control to get better and GBW Rock to get worse. Deck 1B: UW Control Deck 2B: UBR Reanimator Deck 3B: GBW Rock Control
