Looking to improve your drafting? The Magic Online Newsletter will have information to help you! I’ll compare when you pick a given card to when those same cards are picked by the winning decks in all drafts.  This helps identify cards you are overrating and underrating.  Obviously, the more drafts you have done, the more accurate the data will be, but it will show up as long as you’ve done at least one draft.  Each newsletter, some information about what cards you overrate and/or underrate will be provided for your benefit! Now that Legacy is on Magic Online and Classic is a specialty format: * A Legacy format championship race will be added, based on QPs accumulated in Legacy queues and scheduled events. Standings for this will begin being posted with the April 8 update. * QPs earned in Classic events starting with the recent Classic weekend challenge will earn points in both the Classic and Specialty format championship races.

Sorry for the delay in publishing the MOC Season 4 information. As the championship is so close to Rise of Eldrazi becoming available to Magic Online we want to make this the format for the LCQ and Championship. To accomplish this the LCQ is being moved to May 8 at 11am but the Championship will remain on May 9 at 4 PM PST. These will be Rise of Eldrazi sealed events and the Championship promo card will be the alternate art Jace Beleren from the Agents of Artifice novel.

Urza's Saga release events begin March 31st after the scheduled downtime. For the April 2010 season (March 31 to April 28) the Tier 1 and 2 alternate art land promo cards are from the second set of the European Land Program, originally released in June 2000 for the Prophecy booster box sales promotion. Each card represents a European location: the plains depicts Lowlands, Netherlands; the island depicts Venezia, Italy; the swamp depicts Lake District National Park, UK; the mountain depicts Pyrenees, Spain; the forest depicts Brocéliande, France. The Tier 3 promo card is Thirst for Knowledge, originally released for the August 2009 Weekend Challenges....

Urza's Saga pre-release and release event information is now available. The pre-releases start on Friday March 26th. If you're going to be in Boston this weekend at PAX East, sign up to play in the Magic Online Live Series. Lee Sharpe and I will be there manning the events. There are no changes to any Magic Online formats for the March update.  Don't forget about the Legacy format coming to Magic Online on March 31.  Like Standard, Extended, etc., there is one shared Legacy banned list for both paper and online tournaments.
