Community Cup Events are This Week!
The Community Cup Team has been announced, the Wizards Team has been announced, what's left? Only a battle of epic proportions. Who will win? Many say the answer is already known; yet we fight because giving out a Sorrow's Path would be so sweet. Check out the full details here.
In addition, Spellslinging returns to Magic Online to celebrate the 2012 Community Cup. Players will be able to put their favorite decks to the test as they battle Wizards of the Coast employees during the following Spellslinging sessions:
Session 1: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM PDT on Tuesday, October 23
Session 2: 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM PDT on Friday, October 26
During each of the above sessions, Wizards of the Coast employees will be hosting 1-game matches in the format of their choice in the Just for Fun room. To participate, join one of the open Spellslinging matches with a format-legal deck. All Spellslinging challengers who complete a match during one of the sessions above will receive 1 alternate-art Goblin Guide promo card. If you manage to defeat your Wizards opponent, you will receive a premium foil version of that card instead.

Please Note: A player is eligible to earn only 1 alternate art Goblin Guide promo card per Spellslinging session, up to a maximum of 2 promo cards overall. Players are required to be respectful of others and join only one Spellslinging match per session so that everyone gets a chance to play! Players will not receive more than 1 card per session regardless of how many matches he or she plays during that session. If a player is found to have played in multiple matches during any given session, then he or she will receive only a regular version of the promo card, regardless of the outcome of his or her first match in that session. Promo cards earned from Spellslinging matches will be distributed on or before November 7, 2012.
Release Events Continue
Return to Ravnica Release Events end next week and the Return to Ravnica Release Events Championship is Saturday, November 3, at 10:00 AM. Don't miss your chance to qualify and receive a copy of the Return to Ravnica launch weekend promo card
Redemptions are Back
Magic Online Redemptions are back online after performing our physical inventory count. Redemptions will be processed as normal during the downtime tomorrow. Don't forget to collect your remaining Return to Ravnica cards before redemption for this set starts November 14.
Extended Downtime Tomorrow!
