New 10th Anniversary Drafts!
So far we have celebrated 10 years of Magic Online with classic drafts, special constructed queues, and awesome rewards. Now we want to try something new: 10th Anniversary 12-6 draft queues.

These single-elimination queues are like the 8-4 queue's big brother, and like the 8-4 queue, 12-6 refers to the prize structure: 12 booster packs for the winner, 6 booster packs for the runner-up. In addition, 12-6 draft queues feature extra Magic Online Championship Series Qualifier Points for the top two finishers: a total of 2 points for the winner and 1 point for the runner-up!

These special queues will be available for one week starting after tomorrow's downtime and ending at 10:00 AM on July 5. Queues will be available for Avacyn Restored booster drafts, Innistrad Block booster drafts, and Magic 2012 booster drafts. Check out the details, including entry options, below.

START TIMES: On demand starting after the downtime on Wednesday, June 27, and ending on Thursday, July 5, at 10:00 AM.
LOCATION: Limited Queues room.
ENTRY OPTION(S): 17 Event Tickets OR 5 Event Tickets plus product.
PRODUCT: 3 Avacyn Restored booster packs OR 1 Dark Acension booster pack and 2 Innistrad booster packs OR 3 Magic 2012 booster packs, depending on booster draft joined.
SIZE: 8 players.
DURATION: Drafting and deck building time plus 3 rounds, single elimination.

Planechase Available Friday
Starting Friday, June 29, Magic Online players can travel the Multiverse with the release of Planechase and Planechase (2012 Edition). Planechase adds a whole new dimension to the game with planar cards, each representing diverse worlds or powerful phenomena with unique effects on the game. Eight Planechase Game Packs -- the four original Planechase Game Packs and the four Planechase (2012 Edition) Game Packs -- will be available, each containing a 60-card deck and 10-planar cards.

10th Anniversary Celebration Continues
The Magic Online 10th Anniversary celebration continues throughout this week and ends next Thursday, July 5, at 10:00 AM. Players can hop into an Invasion Block booster draft or enter one of our anniversary Constructed queues. In addition, the following Spotlight Tournaments are available this weekend: the Phantom Avacyn Restored sealed deck on Saturday, June 30, at 9:00 AM and the Legacy constructed on Sunday, July 1, at 11:00 AM. Magic Online Player Rewards for July
June's Player Rewards Program period end's with tomorrow's downtime! Make sure you take advantage of the Magic Online 10th Anniversary's double rewards points if you want any of the promo cards for June.

July's rewards period (June 27 to July 25) begins after tomorrow's downtime.

The Tier 1 and 2 promo cards are alternate art Scars of Mirrodin basic lands.

The Tier 3 and 4 promo card is Gruul Guildmage, originally given out as part of the Guildpact release.

The Tier 5 and 6 promo card is an alternate art Leatherback Baloth, originally distributed in 2010 as part of the WPN program.

The Tier 7 and 8 promo card is an alternate art Auramancer, originally given out as part of the WPN program in 2011.

The Tier 9, 10, and 11 promo card is an alternate art Celestial Colonnade, distributed as a Worldwake Buy-A-Box promotion in 2010.

Magic Online Championship Series Season 7
MOCS Season 7 is in progress right now! Season 7 ends on July 18 and the Season 7 Championship is on Saturday, July 21. Season 7's Championship format is Avacyn Restored sealed deck and the promo card is a modern frame of Phyrexian Dreadnought. Find more information about the 2012 MOCS here.

No Downtime the Week of July 4
Due to the Independence Day holiday on July 4, Magic Online will not have a scheduled maintenance next week. Instead, we will set up additional scheduled tournaments to fill our normal downtime black out period. Check out the MTGO Calendar on Wednesday to see what has been added.

Not having a downtime, however, means that redemption orders that occur after this week's maintenance will not process until July 11. In addition, the Magic Online Player Rewards disbursement for June will also be delayed until July 11.

Extended Downtime this Week
In order to perform some additional maintenance, Magic Online scheduled maintenance will begin at 3:00 AM tomorrow. Full details can be found below.

Downtime Notes for June 27, 2012
The system will go into "No Pay" at 12:00 midnight on June 26.
Store and trades will shut off at approximately 2:45 AM.
The system will be down from 3:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
This downtime is expected to last approximately 8 hours.

This downtime contains a small build with legality changes, a bug fix, and the Planechase card sets.

General

• Updated: Land Tax is now legal in Legacy. You can find the DCI announcement about this change here.
• Updated: Griselbrand and Sundering Titan are now banned in Commander. You can find more information about these changes here.

Card Rules

• Fixed: If a paired creature with soulbond loses soulbond, it and the creature it's paired with remain paired.
