For the January 2010 season (Dec 30 - Jan 27) the Tier 1 and 2 alternate art land promo cards are the third set of released APAC lands, originally released in 1998.

The Tier 3 promo card is the non-foil alternate art Sprouting Thrinax, originally given out to Alara Block based Daily Event Top 8 participants in January 2009.

The Tier 4 and 5 promo card is Blastoderm, originally released for Friday Night Magic rewards in 2005.

The Tier 6 and 7 is the textless version of Blightning, originally released for Magic Player Rewards in 2009.

The Tier 8 and 9 promo card is is the alternate art version of Eternal Dragon originally released at the Pro Tour in 2006.

The Blightning looks nice, but nothing interests me this time around. In my opinion, both the Blastoderm and Blightning are worthy of tier 4. For tier 6 I expect something else. I'm not sure what I expect for tier 6, but not a common (and a commonly distributed promo).

Also, way to go "Jund" with the promos this month. This can't be a coincidence.

Really awesome for those of you who play Standard. The Blightning is rather nice looking. The Blastoderm is just for casual and I would assume it is the FNM version. Eternal Dragon is a fine Tier 8/9 card though I prefer the art description over the execution. Nothing for me here this time around. =(

Hopefully thats not the actual blastoderm we'll get. The FNM one was that art with the new frame. Pet peeve of mine, receiving promos that are normal versions of cards with a different expansion symbol (i.e. creeping mold, coiling oracle, etc). Really glad to see the textless blightning (and not at the top tier to boot).

Man I wish the double MOPR points was for January. I need Eternal Dragon for 100CS :) and I always just barely hit level 7. now if I could pre-order Uzra's Saga or Worldwake....
