Making the transition to 4th edition D&D may not come easy.  This blog will show you the method I've used to explain the game, using only the 4E Players Handbook, to those with limited experience at other versions of D&D.

Much has been written about the differences between versions of D&D, particularly between 3.5 and 4e; however, there isn't much in the blogosphere that discusses how to learn about these differences.

The first thing I tell neophytes to the 4E world is to discard all simplified notions of what 4E is, and a most efficient way to accomplish this is to give them a road map of how to read the Players Handbook.  An exhaustive, detailed reading pf the Player's Handbook is ideal, but sometimes you have somebody who wants a summarized breakdown of what they need to know in order
