Where days meet night in the new moon of the sister of the Dark Mistress Shar. Elui Darksong a half-drow shadow dancer came to the Dalelands looking for intrique where none has yet grown. Her long black hair and unusually pale has dusky silvery tone that helps features made her oval face look like moon. Elui hated both the humans and the elves that she in fact was she descended from them. Being an outcast to these two races and she sought nothing more to bring them into dark embraces of Shar. It was Shar that gave her the purpose to move on.
"To feel and have emotions is to cloud ones intellect." whisper Elui calmly to herself as she pulled a flute and place it to her lips. One of the few things Elui can lose herself in is music. Music help her to focus her mind to the task at hand. Music gave her no peace as it once does. "The heart is always burden and it gets in the way of ones mission."
To her fellows in Netherese Elui was consider soft in ways of torture and she always ended her interrogations quickly. Elui thought torture will only make future enemies where none is needed. Nor did she like to manipulate people into working for her through seduction. Her fellow sisters and brothers in service of Shar seduce the followers of Hoar and Sheverash.
Elui found both such followers are of the same cloth but is hard pressed to say are they better than those sought revenge.
Sheverash as she written in her journal stated she found little difference between the Drow and the surface elves in their hatred of eachother. It is fascinating to extent where the potential of exploitation is unparallel to further the cause of Shar. In fact the hatred is so much the same it will forever link the Elves and the Drow to eachother. All you have to do is say "I hate Drow" or "I hate Elves" for all practical purpose they are one and the same. It is far more intriquing that the all hatred they have eachother they are identical creatures to shafts of the moon. One has happen to light and the other is dark.
Elui found that most people fear the Shadows what is not known more what is known. It is the same with the Drow or any group of people that did heinous crimes in the past case in point the Crown Wars. Once a group is consider an evil race people of the goodly races turn a blind eye to it suffering.
Just talking to the Dalelands and Elui got various reactions to stating that Maerimydra will cast a longer shadow than the Drow can ever imagine. The Fire Titans are still very much an unknown factor and fact her orders are concerning them. Very few consider that the Drow being slaves to Fire Titans is justified. The Drow of Maerimydra no longer worship the goddess Lolth but it is not by choice. The Fire Titans make sure that the Drow are no longer allowed to worship any god of their choosing. So in essence these Drow are consigned to Wall of Faithless. Elui found that good races are willing to allow this to another race is just as evil as the race they condemned. From humans she got the Drow deserve this fate and from the elves it was far worse it is not of our concern. Elui the indifference to others is far worse than the false justice. So people are false and the Shadows will bring the truths of people into light.
Shadowdale it was not an easy trek but necessary one. To learn and become an agent often traveling by magic is quicker but less educational. It was the land where the Seven Sisters and Abier-Toril came from. Nothing about this land is simple or appears to be that. The people of the Dalelands are impressive through their long history of survival and beating the odds. Now it is time to study the people.

Things I observe in people who I had the pleasure (or most casis displeasure to work with).
Oleander are poisonous.
Einstein the genius behind M=MC squared couldn't pass highschool math and calculas and later discovered the theory behind relativity.
If intelligence is measured by creativity and not the standardized test we would realize how much American Schools systems is dumbifying the populas. (This is an opinion not a fact.)
Fact is I know people who do not difference between chemical valences and balance. Also schools don't teach what poisonous plants in the area is growing.

The good and the bad and the downright ugly.
4th edition The Good Alignment system
is made easier and less tedious. Unaligned is so much freeing than Neutral Good, True Neutral, Neutral Evil....( in some cases I just plain ignore it). Good well your good and tend to be law obeying (Paladin) or you say screw the rules I believe in the power of chaos and what is good for people as whole (Anonymous or Occupy Movement. Of the two I would say that former is Chaotic Neutral and the later is Choatic Good). It does allow realism of the human or not so human psyche.
The Gods/Goddesses
I like the fact the lessar Gods and even the intermediate gods are made into exarchs this makes my life being DM. No more dealing with obscure gods and goddesses and having quesiton marks floating around my head (does the cleric of this god does this?) I although reading the system some of the gods that went bye-bye for the later or future development I wouldn't touch. (Eilastraee, Vhaeraun) I been trying to get rid of Mystra sometime now and replaced her with Mystryl. (I always like this goddess).
Future 5.0
Shevarash will leave the Seldarine and become part of Shar world (This is my wish list). His alignment will be evil hatred and revenge does the soul no good.
Elistraee will be back for the Drow dancing them to goodness.
Vhaeraun will theiving and causing mayhem on the surface as he did before.
The Character
I would import the character sheet and some of the feats back ground from Campaign Manul Forgotten Realms 3.5. I love that system it has all you need in one book.
Some how the writers for 4.0 does not include this information or I have not located it.
Future developments. I would like book solely develop for and written for feats only.
5.0
It will combined the character sheet and feets and background info on the races.
Cities and AReas of Faerun
3.5 ed and 4.0 ed the summaries of the areas are good howeve I feel that the certian areas of keen interest are over look like Maerimydra. It is going be campaigner new but somewhat Darker Myth Drannor of the Underdark for adventures alike. I also felt that to much was said about Menzoberran. I found this various unequal representation of certain areas of Faerun. I have decided I want to do somethings with the Dragons and Abeir part of Toril. ( Not enough on Abeir Toril I may have to create module on that).
Rumors and Plots need some beefing up. Yeah there was too much infor 3.5 and not enough 4.0. I would side on to much info.
I did appreciate the bad guys of Faerun 4.0 this makes playing an evil Zhent, Drow, Sharran, and Yuanti....(reptiles are awesome)
Some Action in next 5.0 ed
Give me some Primodial action versus the Gods.
Players reference book (All the PC raises that needs FAQ book)
Let the Giants cause damage of Cormanthyr! Time for Giants to kick the proverbial arse of Faerun.
Hey Dalelands there are more threats than Drow and the Zhents.

In my view of things I am glad for the new alignment system with the unaligned for the most part in the 4th ed. I tend to ignore the alignments for the most part because simply a lot of people I ran across play within it and not go against it. I was however voted by my group who is truly Choatic Good with Neutral Good tendencies.
Eilastraee and Vharaun do need to come back for different reasons.
Eilastraee: To provide the balance of good and evil in the drow.
Vhaeraun: To provide the males a way out of Lolth spidery webs.
Actually since they are twins in truth I think they worked better together than without eachother.
Mystryl: The need for neutral or unaligned God of Magic is needed.
Shevarash: All that hate will corrupt him eventually so make him have an evil alignment. Also have him leave the Seldarine because it is to confining.
Corellon Larethian: I think elves are going have an interesting time with him being unaligned. Call it facing his inner darkness.

Elui Darksong "What I am not evil just good at what I do in the name of Shar. People are really narrowminded for those who challenge the status quo of things."
((These are just made up so non-cannon)
Fire Giants: "The Drow are really an untapped resource to be manage and manipulated through a periodic re-education system."
"True master of power is subtle sometimes it takes a gentle hand to create the greatest change. So do not underestimate the power of the passiveness it is just strong as active energy." So speaks Lunarbeams

I love a good villian and that what makes the story for me. It is not the fact the character is simply evil. It is mind set of the character. The character even with my newly Sharran Char she does not consider her self to be evil but being true to herself. What motivates her as character is the devotion to Shar. It is my job as her author to show how she is devoted to Shar. In what the edicts of Shar in the most methodical ways possible.
As a villian to make he or she interesting is the character is believable in the flaws or what is driving the char. I do try to make my chars as three dimensional as possible to make them grow and evolved.
Perhaps I tend to stay away from the Lolthites since the group has been done a lot. A good villian can be a catylyst to get the story going. Even over time a villian can actually become a hero and vice versa. It is fluid thing about people they do change. Some of the best chars do change over time and that what makes them classics.
Being villian is to have morals fluidity. My characters who are villians can explain there ways out of situation where the person who judging them are wrong. Limitations set by society who are to afraid to understand what the character is doing for the good of the whole.
In Dragonlance the best villian that is often misunderstood is the Kingpriest.
In his narrow view of the world he did more evil than good in the service of Paladin. I find his flaw that he was very dishonest with himself unlike Lord Soth and even to Raistlin Majere. Just becaue you devoted to god of the good and breeds intlorance of others does not make you less evil or more good. It is the actions you did while alive in the name of ethos.
I am support any story involves corruption of the so call good because it plays on the chars good or evil.
