I was happy to get an email today, giving me my assignments for judging at Winter Fantasy in January (running EPIC and BI). I like to prep everything for running games in advance and was curious if distribution of the mods to DM's was going to be similar to last year. If so, I eagerly await, like a kid waiting to open Christams presents, but for me it's constantly checking my email while at work.... LOL

I assume Dave will be handling adventures the same as last year, but I don't believe any of the WF adventures are finished yet.

Yay! As a player, it is awesome to have a well-prepared DM - judge preparedness can really make or break how enjoyable the experience is. As an author, I love seeing well-prepared DMs - a lot of hard work goes into the adventures, so it's nice to see DMs putting in the effort to prepare it well so they can give the players a great experience. So..., thank you from the LFR community.
Even if adventures are not finished yet, many times you can contact the author to get information about what minis you might need, etc. (I know some people don't have all the appropriate minis but like to go out and buy them for a convention - but that takes time to do.)
I am just a very small cog in the WF adventure-producing machine, but I will try my best to do my little part on time.
I eagerly await, like a kid waiting to open Christams presents
Maybe Dave C. can figure out a way to stick a little bow on the emails when he sends out the adventures.

Thanks Lori for helping me out by giving me an idea of what I needed to grab from my various gaming minis to use for EPIC. I'd also like to get a hold of the author(s) for the BI so I can pack my minis now and be ready to prep the rest once the adventures are ready for WF DM distribution. Thanks for the help gang. Woo hoo t-minus 17 days til the fun begins.

Hahahahahaha!
BI adventure ready in advance of the convention? Oh man, that's a good one.
No, seriously: expect to be handed the BI as late as the night before it runs. I'm not joking.

And thank you for responding like a jerk, Joshua_Randall.
Never in my post did I say that I wanted the actual adventure, just a general idea of what monsters/size of monsters I'll be fielding. All I wanted to know what what kind of miniatures should I be packing. Lori was kind enough to do that for me for EPIC and would like to contact the authors of the BI to get a general idea of what minis to pack. The only thing I'm worrying about at this moment is what I know I can control. And at this moment that is WHAT MINIS I WILL USE TO TELL THE BEST STORY POSSIBLE. That is all....

Oy, unless I am misrememer the last two Origins the BI was available before the convention.
Anyway, I am not in charge of the BI, but: Spoiler:
Show
It is about the Order of Blue and the yuan-ti from Narjafal (assuming I remember the name of that serpent kingdom north of Eltugard correctly). I do have the final drafts of SPEC5-1, CORE5-1 and EPIC5-1 and I should have SPEC5-2 soon as well. I hope to get out stuff by the end of the weekend - some earlier. I had hoped to be further along by now, most of the delays are my fault.

Madfox, if you have the final draft for SPEC 5-1, could you pass it on to The Baldman so that the site may be updated?
