There's an obvious errata problem in the latest Dragon theme article. Basically, a Drow who takes this theme and who is 10th level can cast any Arcana ritual below 10th level that they know for free once per day.
i.e. Enchant an Item, Brew Potion, Make Whole, and Fool's Gold...
There should probably be a ruling to stop someone from making a level common magic item every day of an adventure before WotC gets around to errata'ing it.

Isn't that covered by the rust monster clause?

even so, every mod being able to start the day off with a free item, either to use, give to someone else to use, or to disenchant to pay for other rituals is very good.
Insulting someones grammar on a forum is like losing to someone in a drag race and saying they were cheating by having racing stripes.
Not only do the two things not relate to each other (the logic behind the person's position, and their grammar) but you sound like an idiot for saying it (and you should, because its really stupid )

Remember that it would also allow someone to upgrade items without cost.
Something clearly needs to be done.

Upgrading an item w/o cost should still be covered by the Rust Monster clause. Feeding rituals, OTOH, isn't. (And using it in the mod also isn't)

You're not actually exiting the mod with more gold. You're exiting the mod with an extra magic item(or 5 or 15 depending on how many days pass in mod)
I think anyone taking this theme for the purpose of abusing it before it gets errata'd isn't looking to the niceties of the rules.

Then it is probably covered under the rules that you can't get magic items except by slots and bundles. If they aren't paying for it, then they must have paid a slot for it. Or have a special cert for it.
An "upgraded" item either has to be paid for with gold or a slot, so I think the rules cover this. If the item isn't paid for by one of the above, they don't get it.

You're paying for it. You're paying the full cost of 0.

This definitely falls under the rust monster clause. An item still has a gold value and hence is gold! The form of the gold really does not matter. I am really curious how people can argue otherwise...
Now, whether or not we can do something about crafting a single item for the current adventure is another question. I will discuss it with my fellow globals.

even though it is covered, it would not hurt to spell it out clearly if there is not errata (I cant help but hope this is the case)
even if all you can do is make one weapon of your level or lower per day it would be amazing, and broken in any case where you get multible days, there are more then a few mods that have you travel a days to get somewhere
