OK, so if we have an item that was previously not rare, but now is, we can keep it (limit 1/tier), store it, or sell it for 50%.  Cool, good to know.
Harrying your Prey, the Easy Way: A Hunter's Handbook - the first of what will hopefully be many CharOp efforts on my part.
The Blinker - teleport everywhere. An Eladrin Knight/Eldritch Knight.

CB != rules source.

You quoted the rules? Why would you need confirmation about those? Those rules still apply.

True, but the question is whether our bundle X items which are now rare fall under:

"Rare items are tightly restricted. You can't have more
than one Rare item per tier (total) and they always require
campaign documentation (for any reason – to find them,
buy them, create them, or even to be given them). Even if
a Treasure or Story Award says that you may choose “any
item,” that does not include Rare items"

since we don't have campaign documentation for their access...

From my reading of the campaign documentation, you can keep your rares that weren't rare when you found it, so long as you don't exceed your limit of 1/2/3 by tier rares.

LFR Campaign Guide, page 16, under "Dealing with Major Changes"

If the affected item was Rare, or if the errata changes the item’s rarity from Common or Uncommon to Rare, you must decide if you want to keep it (in which case it counts against your Rare item limit), put it in storage (see page 12), or sell it for 50% (not 100%) of its market price.

I don't see how it's ambiguous that this applies.  It specifically mentions the situation in question...

A specific clarification in the guide that this allows you to out Rare items in storage when the guidelines on Page 12 would not normally allow that might clear up any confusion.

It applies to bundle X (although of course, from the moment the availability rule changes you cannot anymore take the item with bundle X).

There are going to be some very sad paragon tier characters I know...

Although, actually, I just have one item affected by the shift from common to uncommon and I only had one of them(which is why they were made uncommon, to prevent +100d6 of daily surgeless healing at high paragon+ for 100K...)

My Mage is happy.  I was grumbling (to myself) that I had no rare items -- now I have 2 (Ring DrEmp and Fortune Stone) and I have 2 more uncommon slots.  Plus Staff of Sleep and Charm is common.  Win all around.

Heh. That was always a rarity reclassification waiting to happen. I thought about doing that with my character, but I decided I didn't want to put up with the eye rolling and the groans

I guess the friendly local Artificer will no longer be carrying around a big bag of Fortune Stones to hand out to people without the foresight to pick them up.

I killed Aleena.
