Some items of note:

Master of Stories has changed Skalds Aura for the MC to once per day.
A ton of items have been changed to Common.

Fortune Stones, Dice of Auspicious Fortune and the Ring of Free Time are now Rare.

So I'm pretty sure that:
  1. I have until the end of March to apply the changes.
  2. If I picked up (Dice/Stones) the item via "Treasure X", then I have to give it up.  I get the found item slot back.
  3. If I found it via a specific treature option (there's at least one mod that drops a fortune stone, IIRC), then I can keep it.

But I'd appreciate a global saying "Yep, you've got it"

Practical gameplay runs by neither RAW or RAI, but rather "A Compromise Between The Gist Of The Rule As I Recall Getting The Impression Of It That One Time I Read It And What Jerry Says He Remembers, Whatever, We'll Look It Up Later If Any Of Us Still Give A Damn." Erachima

Also: Shadowflow Armor (??), Headband of Intellect, and the Master's Blade for the MBA spammers.

Horex Cube takes your rare slot (but you won't have to give it back, because you got it via an official reward)

(Could some mod give out a master's blade in the future?  Given it's a 5/10/15 item, it's not in any way overpowered)

From my reading of the campaign documentation, you can keep your rares that weren't rare when you found it, so long as you don't exceed your limit of 1/2/3 by tier rares.

LFR Campaign Guide, page 16, under "Dealing with Major Changes"

If the affected item was Rare, or if the errata changes the item’s rarity from Common or Uncommon to Rare, you must decide if you want to keep it (in which case it counts against your Rare item limit), put it in storage (see page 12), or sell it for 50% (not 100%) of its market price.

So I had it all wrong.  Thanks.

Well, I'll still feel better when a global weighs in.

As long as they weigh in to say "We're dropping Rarity altogether".

At this point the system has gone from an unsupported, nonsensical farce to the question to the answer 42.

Any system that puts a Fortune Stone and a Greater Staff of Power in the same category while keeping BoMS and IAoP separate is hopelessly broken and needs to be ignored.

Ring of the Dragonborn Emperor is also rare now.  So I need to go count my rares.

On the other hand I was happy to see that some alchemical items are now commons.  The change to common of some items freed up some slot for other uncommons I want to grab for my characters.

Headband of Intellect is rare, Laurel Circlet is uncommon, and Staff of Sleep and Charm is common?  Huh?

Yeah, there was clearly some innattention going on there. The Staff as Common is a serious Whaaa moment. Laurel just implies someone complained about the headband and not it, so omitted by accident.
