The delay is somewhat frustrating for me as my P3 character who is one adventure away from epic playtested this, but they will not get the XP/Rewards from this adventure until it releases.

So this means I've got a character I can no longer use until this adventure is released, this also effects my friends character, and by association holding up an entire groups epic play.  (without our characters there not sufficient Epic characters for our group)

You do realize that you can run a PC after a playtest, and apply xp/gp/treasure bundles at a later time even if the character is too high a level at the point for that particular adventure? Mind you, I would also have no objections to assigning xp/gp to the character immediately (since those tend to be standard anyway and hence not change at a later date), and leave selecting bundles until it is released. There is a small chance you need to retro-actively change the records, but chances are low and the impact is often slim. Of course, in either case you are taking a risk if you do continue playing. Chances are you have outgown the bundles, miss potential sequals because the character is too high a level or applying xp has no impact (you reached epic). Of course, you will also not be able to use the treasure bundles in between playtesting and it being released, but that is usually not too big an issue.

The only real risk is if an adventure is never released, but that is rare (and you might in that case change it in a MYRE) and relatively easy to correct.

There are ample of risks to playtesting, but being forced to not play with a PC until the adventure is finally releases would be really unfair. It can take months between the first playtest and the final release even in the best of cases (in fact, with proper planning it is certainly not the 4 weeks we are seeing now ).

If I'm ok to add the XP/Gold now and grab any story awards/specific item loot later I'll happily do that, I thought I would have to wait untill the mod was released.

In which case my first character has now hit epic! YAY!!! Smile

Since there are more people than just me waiting for this mod...

I am wondering if we can get a comment from the Writing Director or the Admins as to an approximate time when it will be released.

The writer has stated he has done all the playtests and it has been submitted to the WD for final edit.

Sean mentioned earlier that if the mod did not need extensive edit it would be out shortly.

Thanks,

From what was said, the issue was with AGLA2-3 and the decision was made to not renumber.

I have sent back the last draft of AGLA2-4 to the author for some very minor edits. Given the author's efficiency, I expect these changes to be made in short order. I will then be forwarding the final version to HQ. If they deem it needs more edits, then it might still take some time before it is released. Otherwise, I hope to see it out soon after AGLA2-3.

I just got a moment to work on it today, I have been in New York for work, all the water damage, I have been gone since Sunday.

I have made changes, now I need to verify some rule changes and adjust if necessary.

It should be in tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks for your patience guys!

I went over it again, but it is difficult as the author to find other issues.  I hope it is a fun adventure and it is now ready for submittal.

Although I know more folks playtested it, as it was a one round event originally, so my apologies if I missed your name.  But, it has changed so much, your feedback was included, but it is a different adventure now.

Once again thank you for your patience, I hope that it was worth the wait.
