The table I ran it for also chose Thrym. I faced a similar dismay, as the overall results sided with her... and then the campaign I ended up writing for followed that arc 
But we're having fun with her, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing the mayhem the encounters we're working on now will cause. And from a higher up standpoint, if Kiaransalee had been the big bad for this season instead of Tsien, I might have had some balance issues with using that much undead.
I will say - another group might have wanted to succeed at the events of CORE2-12 and thus sought her out again. You might recolor her as more specifically angered at the group that imprisoned her. It does get a bit murky, though. But, hey, I'm glad that in the living campaign the choice really mattered and changed the campaign
