To Uthrac,
When I had my conversation with Dave Kay via this thread... his answer is the second post.
First Mod: DDXP
Second Mod: May timeframe
Third Mod: September timeframe
He also stressed the point that he has never missed a deadline and does not intend to miss a deadline so at the time of this posting, I am inferring that Dave intended to follow the same schedule of release dates for year 2 and year 3 Epic modules.
I am not sure if you were being flippant in the other thread when you said I should ask Dave Kay because I did... 18 months ago

Yes, Dave provided his projections for the 2011 release schedule.
Note that Dave has not been involved with the Epic adventures for quite some time, so 18-month-old projections are probably not the best resource for predicting release dates.

I'm not sure that you weren't trying to be funny when you asked one person about the schedule set by a completely different person 18 months ago. Or funnier yet when you quoted that other person as not missing a deadline given that they aren't working on the project any more.

Epic3-2 came out in June. Epic3-3 came out in December. Those dates were never accurate... and you're not encouraging the adventures to come out any faster As stated elsewhere, EPIC4-2 will come out some time after Gen Con, and EPIC4-3 will come out before the end of the year. P.S. Uthrac's worked on, what, 10 rounds of play that's already out this year, and another 6-9 incoming. Maybe we don't need to jab and poke hard working volunteers?

What????
And i thought the volunteers did it all for the oh so wonderful derision and disrespect to be harvested on these forums....
To DME, or not to DME: that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous powergaming, Or to take arms against a sea of Munchkins, And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep;No more;

I don't really keep up with the announcements regarding new adventures coming out, but judging from the reactions of posters who are not 'in the loop', communication from the writers towards the community does seem to leave something to be desired.
I love that this discussion prodded some writers to reveal their updated deadlines. Maybe if they did that on a more regular basis, they'd pre-empt snarky comments. Sorry if this sounds snarky as well by the way. I just mean to offer some frinedly advice but the internet has a hard time conveying that sometimes

I love that this discussion prodded the writers to reveal restate their updated unchanged deadlines. Maybe if posters checked threads that are not 17 months old for schedule updates, they'd pre-empt snarky comments from the writers.
For example, this thread is only 2 weeks old:
community.wizards.com/lfr/go/thread/view...
In fact, the last post in that thread (8/8) is the day before this thread was brought back from the archives (8/9). I guess it just goes to show that there's no way to pre-empt snarky comments on the internet.

I'm reasonably certain that your 8/8 post is what prompted -Aribeth- to resurrect this thread in the first place, since his(?) post amounted to "But how come the 2012 schedule now doesn't mesh with what someone who is no longer involved with the Epic campaign said 18 months ago about the 2011 release schedule??"
