I've yet to go to a con and play LFR yet but I am curious about it. With all of these changes do I have to have my character recorded online each step of the way?
I give my RPGA number to my DM but sometimes we have players that dont have a number or aren't registered yet so we've had issues getting the game registered. I've put a lot of game sessions into my character now and I'd hate to see it go to waste because of players that started out but moved away or didnt get the RPGA number.
I maintain my log of which adventures I did and what rewards I took but other than giving my RPGA number to my DM it is out of my hands after that.

Characters are no longer tracked online.

The item issue is a sticky wicket. Some of us have been with LFR from the start and giving up items we wanted or obtained for our character due to rarity issues stinks. Having item rarity is fine, but the mechanics of it is awful currently. There are a few issues. First how many common, uncommon, and rare items can a character have? A character should have access to unlimited commons (for whatever good that will do). Uncommon items should be obtained every three levels starting at level 2 (2, ,5 ,8, 11, 14, 17, 20, 23, 26, & 29). Three item rare item slots one for each tier. You can opt to use your heroic slot then or hold onto it into paragon. At paragon you now have two slots and can use them or hold them until Epic. At Epic you have 3 rare slots and can use them all. When you use your rare slots their gone so spend them wisely. The next issue is what to do with players who already have items. I know people have been playing LFR since 4e was released and are midway or near the end of paragon tier. They have accrued a lot of items which fall either into the common or uncommon category. If a PC has 10 item slots (14 if symbol, ki, tatoo, and off hand weapon are considered). Most players at level 17 have at least 8 to 9 slots filled already. Of those slots 6 can be uncommon, at paragon tier two rares and the rest common. What if I have 8 uncommon. I dont want to give them up for gold. What can the gold do? Can I upgrade my exisiting uncommons? I can't buy rares or other uncommons. So I buy commons which I have no use for. Makes no sense. I say forget common and uncommon slots. Just incorporate 3 rare slots, as above, since there are only a few items marked as rares. Allow a player who has rares the option of selling them 1, all or none. They can keep no more than two and sell the rest or all at100%.
