The first challenge is getting the Excursion program up and running.
The purpose of the Excursions program is to create opportunities for new LFR authors. Each year at least two open calls for prospective authors are planned.
For this first open call:
Those interested should send an e-mail to me at LFRClaire@aol.com with the subject Prospective Author.
The e-mail should include the following information:
- Full name
- Any previous writing experience (MyRealms, creating a home campaign or creative writing)
- Level of D&D experience (include any DM or playtesting experience)
You can expect a response from me including the template for proposal submissions within 48 hours.
The period for actually submitting proposals is 16 Nov. through 26 Nov.
For this first group of submissions, the authors are to create a proposal for a one round stand-alone LFR adventure for heroic tier. Authors are to avoid placing their adventure in one of the active LFR Story Areas or the current Encounters Program story area (CALI, ELTU, NETH, NEVE, RETU, and WATE).
Up to three proposals may be selected for further development.
