The World of Dakara is collectively a Sci-Fi fantasy campaign featured in a mythological Greek setting, and inspired by the novel series written by Fred Saberhagen called The Book of Swords and the popular Sci-Fi series Stargate SG-1& Atlantis. Its central theme revolves around twelve mystical swords forged by the gods of Olympus, each endowed with a particular power or gift, and how various people acquire and use them. There is also a mysterious underlying theme surrounding the history of the planet.
At its heart, the World of Dakara is a d20 game based on the 3.5 SRD Open Game license, Wizard’s of the Coast’s Dungeons and Dragons 4th edition game, and Paizo’s Pathfinder role-playing game. It has a peppering of spices from AEG’s Stargate role-playing game and the mind of Michael Rivera as well.
