Weekly meetings as described on the following Wizards of the Coast web page: Dungeons & Dragons Encounters
Last week, I brought my minis. and we covered several encounters. This caught the group up with the Wizards of the Coast schedule. Last week, Sept. 15th, the group concluded Season2: Dark Sun, Session 11: More than One Way Out. I do believe we will be returning to Forgotten Realms for more assorted adventures with DM DeJean next. I hope to see you all soon.

This week saw the end of our Dark Sun adventures. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. Too bad we didn't win. Our DM was very kind to us, although he tried to act like a tyrant. Thanks for your tutelage Brandon! Throwing the dice our way, definitely helped. Next week, Sept. 29th, will begin another set of Wizards of the Coast sanctioned encounters in and around the Keep On the Borderlands ( www.wizards.com/dnd/Event.aspx?x=dnd/4ne... )

Sorry to say, but the new D&D encounters material has not come in yet, so we will not be playing tomorrow. It also works out fine since I have to work anyway.
Looking forward to killing, uh I mean, playing with you guys next week.
I also had a good time in the Dark Sun campaign, I'm interested in the next campaign.
See you guys later,
DeJean

The Dark Sun campaign ended last year. This year brings in some fresh talent to the table at Anime Games & Central, DM Kyle. Kyle has been great thus far. He's animated, and puts in additional effort fleshing out the story. In addition, he's been noted to put in extra time on his own being sure to come to the table prepared; paying attention to his player's character development. Hence, D&D Encounters are well under foot this season, even though they are technically behind what is posted as "in play" on the D&D Insider website. This season we are working diligently on the Keep on the Borderlands. We have just completed Session 8: Saving Benwick.
These encounters take place each Wednesday at Anime Games & Central in Lafayette, just off of Johnson. However, we WILL NOT meet this next comming Wednesday, April 20th, at 2011, in light of Spring Break and the plans that each of us have. We will continue with Session 9: First Gauntlet on Wednesday, April 27th, 2011 at approximately 7:00 PM
Please stop by and see what it's all about. We want to meet you and game !

OMG I've been playing Keep on the Borderlands XD
I thought we were playing the most recent one. Ive been reading the adventure reports for that on. Guess I'll get back to finding Keep and read that one.

When Brandon asked me if I wanted to run encounters, we were already halfway through the current encounters season, and nobody had ordered the modules. KotB had not been run (to my knowledge, anyway) but we did have all the modules already, and I did not want to wait till May to play...so I'm running KotB.
I have ordered the new season, which is supposed to begin in May. The group can decide if they want to cut this adventure short and begin the current season, or play this one out.

Here, let me help you, Keep On the Borderlands: The Story So Far
You guys just finished session 8. Reading farther ahead than that will spoil the plot!

DM Kyle, I use that synopsis as a review. Honestly. I don't want the story spoiled for myself. It's a good way for me to remember everything that has happen so far. If the others read ahead, they are only ruining the surprise. I think people who spend time playing D&D with all the video game options out there are in it for the creativity and imagination aspect. Most are honest folk. Otherwise we would fudge the dice. Of course, I could just be naive. Also, my vote would be to double our efforts. We could meet twice a week, or do two encounters per session.

I see on the calendar that Encounters is set for the 19th this week. Is that for real or just a bad date on the calendar?
