Ooh, thanks for the list...I'm glad to see a "bad" mono-rdw in 3rd place. I'm sure there weren't too many of these so it makes me think if there were more it would have a better chance.
Glad to hear you'll be back in town this week. I just got a new job today so this week and next week are the last 2 weeks i'll be able to attend fnm at recess...afterwards I'll only be showing up for saturday events like prereleases. (if only he started at 7pm, alas). Ever eaten at thurmans cafe in columbus?
I play both draft and standard at both warzone and recess. (I also make occasional visits to millenium games in rochester when i go to visit friends, I highly recommend the place.)
I think if you're just getting into standard then recess is a good place to start, lot's of people show up with a variety of decks. Warzone is a little bit tougher competition, so once you feel comfortable that's a good place to make an appearance. I personally just bounce around from store to store and I'm making a special point of it to promote the site.
Also, if you're looking into legacy I'm not sure where you would go. I've heard that Medina Sportscards has a group interested in legacy. Also, there are a lot of vintage players at warzone...I'm sure they could provide some solid tips as well.
