The Red Order proceeded onwards into the central space of the tower, coming across another fire giant forging moulds for the Divine Engine, in the company of yet another archon and a genasi with a double-bladed sword.
The Order went for a subtle approach, Arthur distracting the giant with banter while everyone else jumped on the archon. Unfortunately, once the deception failed and it turned out that the archon could teleport, a supposedly simple operation degenerated into another brawl.
Its comrades dead, the genasi made to flee down a pit, but Lenwe shot it between the shoulder blades to drop it rather more suddenly into the dark. The Order had a quick look around the forge, finding the moulded components to be cheap, easily breakable replicas, and finding a new sword for Shibboleth.
Checking out the portcullis leading to the next room revealed more giants milling about, and with Kawaii as tired as she was after only two fights, it would be better to get to the fire giant king as quickly as possible. That meant the hole.
Shibboleth flew down (it being a mere fifty-feet drop) to find Fire Giant King Snarrrr, his underlings, a titan and the drow priestess that escaped from Gregeon assembled around a fully constructed Divine Engine and a sacrificial dwarf.
Back up to the room above, and The Red Order slowly organised themselves to drop down, using methods as varied as flight, climbing, teleporting, relying on Acrobatics to survive the drop and winged bracers.
Waiting for Kawaii to translate Snarrrr's brutish threats into Common would be too big a delay, so after adopting a dramatic pose The Red Order charged into combat.
