Last year, particularly in the Spring, Claire and I were thrown off our stride between some changes to LFR and a bit too much headaches with authoring adventures and some stresses from RL.  WATE2-1 and WATE2-2 came out when they were originally scheduled, but we fell (5-6) months behind on WATE2-3 and WATE2-4.  No small part was bad timing to write both WATE2-3 and MINI2-1 basically at the same time.  I thought I had recruited another gamer to help me write MINI2-1 but he bailed on me.  As that was committed to GENCON 2010, that came first, and as a result WATE2-3 really suffered. At least MINI2-1 was loved by many of the gamers.

In RL I started filling in a higher level job in April, then was officially promoted to it in early July.   The work level

This week Claire and I went to DDXP.  Claire mostly DMed (mostly WATE2-1, but also ran one tale of SPEC2-1 P1 and WATE1-2).  I mostly attended seminars and worked on our proposal for WATE2-3.  Got some help from Mike Mearls, a senior D&D designer at WotC which was fantastic.  The proposal has been sent to our new Global Admin and we are awaiting his comments.

I was asked and agreed to help write an adventure for Gencon.  Not sure what I can say about it specifically, but should be fun.

DDXP was up in attendance and ran very smoothly.  Dave Christ should be proud.

Somehow we have multiple irons in the fire right now.

We are trying to get our final edit of WATE2-2 done, we volunteered to help edit the H1 and the H3 of the SPEC2-1 to speed up the editing, I have started work on WATE2-3 proposal, and have WATE2-4 and 2-5 coming up on my scope soon.

And it keeps snowing outside.

We just did the first playtest of WATE2-2 draft.  The players enjoyed the story, but it ran too long. We will make some adjustments and try a second playtest.  Not sure how much was due to the players, and their dice going cold, so the second playtest is critical.  Being a paragon adventure, however, may be a factor.

We finished our editing of the draft of WATE2-1 and sent it to our Global Admin, Shawn Merwin.  This will start another major quest in 1Q of 2010.  Now that we are firmly in the mode of trying to include many aspects of Waterdeep, making the adventure more than a bare bones D&D adventure, yet still not wordy and playable in 4 hours (always a challenge), it requires a lot more scrutiny.

EDIT: We got word that the draft was good and no further editing was needed by us.  Always a good feeling when author and editors make a good team that is on target!  Brad is a great author.

Also, my thanks to Rosemary Jones and Erik Scott de Bie for their help.

I added some friends and sent some friend requests.

I tried to set up the calendar, but it rejected me.  Perhaps the functionality is not yet enabled.

When do you use a blog and when do you add comments, etc?
