    Hello everyone!  Hope you are all ready for the Innistrad pre release.  I know this week’s judge of the week, Eddie Cheung, is ready.  Eddie is a level 2 judge from Guelph, Ontario in Canada.  Eddie begun playing back in 8th edition, but stopped shortly after Mirrodin. He began playing again in Planar Chaos, and has been playing ever since. As for Judging, Eddie was certified during the  Zendikar pre release in Toronto, and has been judging since.     This week’s JOTW is level 2 Alexei Gousev.  Alexei comes from Davis in California, except for the summer, where he resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Alexei was introduced to Magic through a friend around Odyssey block, however, he did not own any cards until Legions.  After a short break from Magic, Alexei began playing again in Ravnica block.  He was certified for L1 by Eric Levine at his third ever tournament.  Looking back, Alexei says he does not think he was ready at the time.  He passed his level 2 test at US Nationals in 2010, where John...

    Hello everyone! This week’s Judge of the Week is Gustavo Adolfo Otero De Leon.  Gustavo is a level 2 judge from Cayey, Puerto Rico.  Gustavo started playing Magic when Ravnica Block was released in 2005, and started judging during 2009.  It was at Pro Tour San Juan in 2010 that Gustavo was certified to level 1, and just one year later at GP Atlanta he was promoted to level 2.  Gustavo had a problem.  He had to correct people’s mistakes when playing.  It would tick him off when things were not done correctly.  Thus, he became a judge. ...
