I've been in Djerad Thymar a week now. The Market Floor is large beyond words. I've placed several purchases for the company to be shipped back home. The Dragonborn of Tyrmanther have taken to this new world well. I tasted thier favorite food they discovered shortly after they arrived here. Strips of cooked flesh called "bacon" from this fat little animal called a "pig". I've never had anything this delicious, no wonder the Dragonborn enjoy it so much! I made sure to get some of this salted meat dried to take with me.
Passing through the upper levels of the City-Bastion, I encountered the strangest sight. A Dragonborn Paladin of a Toril god named "Bahamut". Worshipping a dragon? I enquire those nearby and learn that there is a small, but growing following of those that believe not all dragon are evil, and that this Bahamut is a champion of Justice, Virtue and Honor. Some think this church is filled with the mad, but others testify to the many heads of black dragons brought back by the Paladins and the hunts for evil Dragons they set forth on.
Finally I was able to get an audience with Vanquisher Tarhun. Tarhun was wisely distrustful of my presence since I resemble the Drowulolth of this world. Unreadable as his face was, I knew he was surprised when I voiced the greeting of the Val'Sarghress clan used with his forefathers. Tarhun was appreciateive to have discovered new allies in this world. While he understood why I could not reveal the location of Chel'el'Sossuloth, he asks that contact be kept between our peoples and we arranged several meeting points for the future.
On the way out of the city, I was met by that same Dragonborn I had seen earlier. I could tell from the scar on the side of his face. He addressed me by my full name, which no one on the surface world save Tosys would know, and told me he has seen a vision from Bahamut, and that I am needed back west in a place called High Dale. He then left me, quite speechless as I was, and returned to his temple for training.
Well, it's not too far out of the way on my journey home... I suppose it's worth a look.

Xen'drik Import and Export has been growing by leaps and bounds. We have been accepted into the community despite being Drow, of course due to the appropriate lubrication that coin offers. Today a Val'Illhad'dro caravn arrived. In addition to bringing wares to export, I've been brought news from Mother.
She is pleased with my progress, as is the Ilharess. Tosys is to take my form while I am to go out farther into the world to locate potential allies and identify threats. Just yesterday while walking the streets, I saw a Dragonborn of all things! It appears we were not the only ones brought to this world by the Bluefire Cataclysm. Tomorrow I set out for his city far to the east. Our people were once on friendly terms against the dragons, perhaps we can join together in this world as well.

It's been several months since arriving. The company has been doing rather well, despite the "Protection" being offered by a gang of bugbears. Tosys has followed them to their hideout. They will not last this night.

Today we used a large portion of surface coin to purchase a modest warehouse in the Docks District. This will be our front for the Guild house Mother ordered me to establish for our operations.
I've decided to name the business "Xen'drik Import and Export" after a mythological continent in a dice game I once found some males playing as a child back home. Tosys is going to take my form and handle day to day legitimate operations while I explore the city and gather contacts.

After an uneventful few weeks, Tosys and I have arrived at "Waterdeep". I'll give these Halme credit, this city is rather impressive... for souless goblinoids. Tosys says that the Halmes, or "Humans" as they call themselves, do not consider themselves to be goblinoids and would take great insult at being referred to as such. I will have to keep that in mind when dealing with them.
The Halmes give us odd stares bordering on malicious intent as we walk thier streets. I am not surprised given what I have heard of the Drowulolth. Crazy is as Crazy does. I will have to keep that in mind as well, that could be a useful trait to emulate.
We are going to spend the next few days quietly taking in the inns and taverns, to learn the strange customs and terms of this world and to get a feel for this city.

The caves finally give way to the surface of this world. The Highland Raiders who lived during the Moonless Age tell me the sky with only one moon is unnerving. This "Toril" is truly an alien place. They tell me stories of how in our old world, the caves opened up to The Great Rift, a deep gouge in the surface as far as the eye can see. These new tunnels exit from caves at the base of a mountain.
Tosys and I bid farewell to the others and begin our travels on the surface of this land. We are headed for a place the Halmes call the "City of Splendors". Hah! What does a surface dweller know of splendor?

One of our scouts sent a warning via spider of an approaching party of Drowulolth. We immediately set up an ambush. We quickly slaughtered them and burned thier corpses to ash. They are getting too close. They may look like us, but the Drow of this world who worship that Ver'aku spider bitch Lolth are not our kin. They are beyond tainted. We must be cautious and secretive so that Chel'el'Sussoloth is not discovered and swallowed by thier madness. At the academy, I studied the information we have on the Drowulolth so that I may pass as one of them if required. All who venture outside the city are required to do so. We are alone and stranded on this world with but a single moon since the fires of the Blue Cataclysm brought our cavern here. The secrecy of our existence is the only thing keeping us from being overrun in this place.

Something about yesterday lingered in my dreams last night. The shadar-kai yielded a little too quickly than what I would have expected. I saw Tosys speaking with one. Both looked in my direction and i saw a change in the shadar-kai's expression. After they split, that one then spoke into the ear of his leader. I caught just the slightest hesitation. After they backed down, I caught the leader staring at me. I bared my teeth at the barely civilized creature. Oddly, he grinned before turning and leaving.
That savage grin haunted my dreams...
Upon waking, I questioned Tosys. Says she informed that lone shadar-kai that I was the heir of our house, and that they'd better watch themselves if they did not want to end up with thier skulls as cobblestones in my garden walkway. Tosys does have quite a gift for words.

Today as we wound through the tunnels, we encountered shadar-kai warriors. They attempted to lay claim to this expanse of cave, however the Highland Raiders impressed upon them our claim. Interestingly enough, this was all resolved without combat. The shadar-kai still honor the truce, for now at least.
