After wrapping up the battle with the bandits at the Wall last week the group had a brief interaction with a Half-Elf Spymaster named Seldra who directed them to the House of a Thousand Faces in the Blacklake district if they wanted to find out more about the Lost Heir. We picked things up with the heroes walking the few miles from the Wall to the Winged Wyvern bridge where they intended to cross over into the Blacklake District.
The heroes approached the bridge in mid-afternoon and noticed it was heavily guarded. Various townsfolk were being harried off the bridge by Mintarn mercenaries in service of Lord Neverember. It’d been 10 days since the heroes defeated the spellplauge-infected White Dragon along side the Lost Heir of Neverwinter. Since then the group have each pursued their own sources of information and tried to learn more about this mysterious stranger. Dunn and Jon were drinking in the Beached Leviathan with a sellsword - a clanless drunk of a dwarf who slurred the name Furakus when asked of it. What he lacked in social graces and quick thinking he made up for on the battlefield. Just the sort of person they would need for their plans.
Both Dunn and Jon wore their Neverwinter badges, but not openly. In a pinch if needed they could flash the jewled symbols. Which had proven useful time and again. Support for the Lost Heir grew considerably over the past week. There were more and more ...

The adventure started when the heroes arrived in a small market in the Protector's Enclave.
Mariz moved on to the weaponsmith’s stall where a no-nonsense Half-orc named Nagda was all business. She initially seemed a bit standoffish when she first spotted the Watersoul Genasi, but once she realized that he carried weapons of the finest quality with signs of repeated use and wear, she opened up a little bit. She was not very talkative until Mariz started haggling with her over the price of some javelins. Mariz did not berate or belittle her and in the end won over the Uthgardt who offered him a discount on all purchases. Meanwhile, Jon offered to assist a merchant struggling to replace a broken wheel on his cart. He gracefully accepted the psion's aid and introduced himself as Clorde.... |
