Peter's Custom Races


The first few of these are going to come from an old favorite game of mine: Alternity, converted to 4E. They're going to make a few assumptions - such as that each race has its own language, or about what skills exist in 4lternity, but they shouldn't be too arduous.

Fraal

Average Height: 4'10"-5'2"
Average Weight: 110-130 lb.

Ability Scores: +2 Intelligence, +2 Wisdom
Size: Medium
Speed: 6 squares
Vision: Normal

Languages: Fraal, plus two others
Skill Bonuses: +2 Arcana, +2 Insight
Agile Mind: You have a +1 racial bonus to Will.
Mental Insinuation: You have the mental insinuation power.

Mental Insinuation - - - - Fraal Racial Power

As you attack, you slip into your foe's mind, where you can wreak havoc or just take a look around.

Free Action - - - - Personal
Trigger: You hit an enemy with an attack.
Target: That enemy
Effect: You can deal psychic damage to the target equal to your Intelligence modifier or your Wisdom modifier, slide the target 1 square, or ask one yes or no question to the target and learn which the target believes to be true (or nothing, if the target has no belief on the matter). If the triggering attack was a psionic attack, you deal an extra 2 damage.
Level 11: Add 2 to the psychic damage you deal with this power.
Level 21: Add 5 to the psychic damage you deal with this power.

Mechalus

Average Height: 5'9"-6'5"
Average Weight: 170-210 lb.
Ability Scores: +2 Constitution, +2 Intelligence
Size: Medium
Speed: 6 squares
Vision: Low-light
Languages: Aleerin, plus one other
Skill Bonuses: +2 Computers, +2 History
Hereditary Memory Device: When you fail a knowledge check, you can reroll that check and use the second result.
Rerouted Programming: You have the rerouted programming power.

You alter the neural pathways your thoughts and muscles are using.

Effect: Make a saving throw. If you save, you are no longer dazed, dominated, or stunned.

Average Weight: 75-90 lb.

Size: Medium
Speed: 6 squares, fly 6
Vision: Darkvision
Languages: Sesheyan, plus one other
Skill Bonuses: +2 Acrobatics, +2 Perception
Emergency Gliding: You have the emergency gliding power.

Your wings snap out and break your fall.

This attack strikes you obliquely, letting your thick hide deflect some of the damage.

Superior Durability: You gain a 2 additional healing surges and 1 additional hit point per level.
Weren Claws: You have the weren claws power.

Without warning, you extend claws from the end of your arm and slash at your foe.
