Role: Defender
Power Source: Martial.
Key Abilities: Strength, Constitution, Wisdom
Armor Proficiencies: Light Armor, Heavy Armor
Weapon Proficiencies: Military Melee
Bonus to Defense: Strength, Dexterity, or Intelligence Modifier to Reflex Defense
Hit Points at 1st Level: 15+Con + Constitution score
Hit Points per Level Gained: 6
Healing Surges per Day: 8+Con + Constitution modifier
Trained Skills: Automatic: Athletics(str). From the class skills list below, choose 4 more trained skills at 1st level.
Class Skills: Endurance(con), Heal(wis), Intimidate(cha), Perception(wis), Insight(wis)
Build Options: Great Weapon Wielder
Class Features: Arcane Strength, Power Load, Grip

Description


Hybrid Elites are half mortal, half green magic. At some point early in their life a Hybrid Elite is infused with strong amounts of arcane energy. This painful infusion of potent magic can show phyically in many ways such as scars or strange green eyes. The powerful energies that now course through their body grant them unnatural feats of strength. Hybrids can move quickly in the heaviest armor and preform great athletic feats. They favor using large two-handed weapons to maximize their crushing power. Their physical frames also hide a great deal of their prowess and they often look no different from any other athletic member of their native race.
No two Hybrids are alike and each possesses a different set of passions and talents. Even so, they can almost always be found serving in military duties around the world. They enjoy serving, protecting, and they always give merit to becoming a hero. Of course, there are always a few black sheep. They are the exception, not the rule. Good or bad, law or chaos, they fight for their dreams and their honor. ''

Creating a Hybrid Elite

The following is designed to help you build a Hybrid Elite Warrior.

Great Weapon Wielder
You’re interested in dealing out the most damage you can. You prefer big two-handed weapons such as the greatsword or greataxe. You’re more interested in fighting hard then fighting smart. Your best ability score is definitely Strength. A good Constitution improves your ability to use high damage weapons, such as axes and hammers. Plus, extra hit points always help. Select powers that work well with twohanded weapons to make the most of this build.
Suggested Feat: Power Attack (Human Feat:Action Surge)
Suggested At-Will Powers: Cleave, Reaping Strike
Suggested Encounter Power: Spinning Sweep
Suggested Daily Power: Brute Strike
Suggested Paragon Path: Kensei, Swordmaster

Hybrid Elite Class Features

All Hybrid Elite Warriors share these class features.
Arcane Strength:
Hybrids gain unnatural power from their infusion with arcane magic. You gain a +2 bonus to your Strength score at every tier.
Power Load:
Hybrids can move with ease in the heaviest armor. You gain a +1 bonus to your Base Speed at every tier.
Versatile Grip:
Hybrids are masters of two-handed weapons. Any weapon held with two hands grants a +1 damage bonus.
