The Labyrinth is a plane created by the minotaur planeswalker Sandruu as a safe haven for the beings of neighboring planes. To prevent the inhabitants from being summoned away by planeswalkers, Sandruu cast a spell over plane allowing free entrance but only one exit.
Over time travelling planeswalkers would find their way to the Labyrinth and become trapped there.
The Labyrinth consists of the maze and the chambers. The maze is a convoluted series of stone hallways leading to doors of many shapes, sizes and colors. By passing through a door the denizens of the Labyrinth may enter any the untold multitude of chambers, each one a micro plane with special laws and magics applying to it.
It is rumored that a single chamber in the entire Labyrinth leads to the blind eternities and thus escape from the Labyrinth. This chamber is known by various names, but is commonly referred to as the Way. Planeswalkers seek the Way to return to the worlds they call home. The natives of the Labyrinth seek the Way to gain the power of the Planeswalkers.
The Maze and the creatures living there are based largely on greek mythology. The micro planes within the chambers are more varied and diverse. Some chambers appear to be simplified and shrunken versions of planes such as Kamigawa or Rabiah.
