Arcana was chosen because of its wide applicability and intelligence synergy. It is also used in the sage of ages epic destiny when using the trick of knowledge encounter power. Bluff was chosen to maximize the racial bonus. Intimidate was chosen for its synergy with charisma (a secondary ability). Perception was chosen because it's arguably the best skill in the game. Religion training was aquired via the bard multiclass feat and chosen mostly for monster knowledge and its synergy with intelligence.
