I ran this game at the GameStorm convention last weekend and nearly everyone loved it. It ran at least twice more, all without prior planning, and several copies were sold by local vendors. This is really a great game. It wasn't just fun to play, but actually a pleasure to play. I really admire the design and reading these articles has added to that enjoyment.
Played the game this weekend...Not bad, not great. The fact is if you like Euro style games you will like this game but after the initial newness wears off you will move on to better, more balanced Euro style games. If you don't like Euro games you probably won't like this one.
These powers had nothing to do with the Elemental Chaos. So you get Efreet blood and now... You can avoid being damaged? The heck does that have to do with one another? Pretty disappointing article.
OCAMPO, please see my other reply. I clearly say that I enjoy running and playing. It was not my intent to make it sound like a drudgery. Merely that I am actively making an effort to propogate the game for the store and (lesser, of course) for WotC.
Reading this article right now and enjoying it. Wanted to point out that the key numbers on the map are hard to read. They don't stand out very well against the background colors used for the city.
Apologies for the delay. The pdf with instructions and image files for constructing your own Baba Yaga's Hut are now up on my blog. Follow the link at the bottom of Craig's article, and scroll down to the bottom of the blog entry! :)
OK. Thank you for clarifying. I hope later on when the older encounter adventures are retired they reconsider as I don't have access to a store that participates.

I also wonder about the difficulty of the monsters vs character level. With the game being about "luck" with die rolls, if you have a party that has one bad day of die rolling they could die to a tree.
I don't like their abilities bonuses. We've ot more than enough Dex/Wis and Dex/Cha races already. They'd be better with something like: Con; Int/Dex.
