Should I assume we arn't going to start this campaign? Its been dead quiet on the forums.

Imagine a world where the first-time D&D player rolls stats, picks a race, picks a class, picks an alignment, and buys gear to create a character. Imagine if an experienced player, maybe the person helping our theoretical player learn the ropes, could also make a character by rolling ability scores and picking a race, class, feat, skills, class features, spells or powers, and so on. Those two players used different paths to build characters, but the system design allows them to play at the same table. -Mearl

Sorry, the cable company just got service restored to our area. Today is my first day back on the interwebs, YAY!
I still intend to run the campaign, though, since my return it looks as though wotc has decided that the VT we all love and adore isn't worth it. I'll be looking at alternatives for running this (such as Roll20.net) and will have the campaign up and running as soon as I finish making two maps (which I can recall with almost perfect clarity). Thankfully all the encounter information was stored on my hard drive, so even without wizards I won't have to redo all of that. More updates to come.

Welcome back. The VT is suppose to be returning to its original creator. Not sure how well it will integrate with the tools going foward though.
